This page of my site is dedicated to Empire Records, one of my favorite movies. I think I have the whole thing memorized.
This is Johnny Whitworth, who plays A.J. in the movie. My roommate's sister-in-law used to date him, before he won the YM Preferred Stock Model Search in like, 1990. Or so the story goes... Small world, huh?
Here he is again with an old favorite of mine, Ethan Embry. Ethan has been one of my favorite actors since I saw him play Ethan O'Fallon in "All I want for Christmas". If you have not seen this movie, go rent it. TOO CUTE. Oh, and he went by Ethan Randall back then, in case you were confused.
Cute moment from the movie:
LUCAS: Mark, who's your favorite band?
MARK: Axle.
LUCAS: Okay. ANd if Axle Rose were driving down the road, and saw Rex Manning stranded on the side of the road, do you think he would stop?
MARK: (thinks) Does Axle have a jack?
So, who's Lucas? Who's LUCAS? Well, this is Lucas.
His real name's Rory Cochrane. In "Empire Records" he steals $9,104 in order to try and save the store from becoming a MusicTown, and that's how the movie starts. Lucas is probably the wittiest and funniest character in the the movie. I mean, with great quotes like:
LUCAS: I think everything is going to be okay.
JOE: Oh, really. And what makes you think that?
LUCAS: Who knows where thoughts come from? They just appear! (nodding) Mm-hmm!
or
JOE: Warren, why don't you stand over there and hold the pictures up so we can get a picture of you?
WARREN: Why don't you shove them up your ass?
LUCAS: Because it would hurt alot, Warren.
"We mustn't dwell..Not on Rex Manning Day!"
