Let's Get Personal!

personal info 'bout lil' ole me

So ya wanna know about me, huh? Well, it can get a little scary... You up for it? ....Oh, you think so,huh? Well, alrite then...here's goes...

I'm a sophomore at Southwest Missouri State University, majoring in Mass Media and a minor in Theater, Creative Writing, and Computer Information Systems. It's a great school in my opinion; there isn't really a film production program at SMS, but I have an individualized major, which combines film theory classes with TV production classes. It's a nice deal.

!!!!!!FAVORITES!!!!!!

Types of Music: Female soloists, like Poe, Fiona Apple, Natalie Merchant, Alanis, Tori, Jewel, etc.; music that concentrates more on having a meaning than just trying to sound good, or if there are no words, then music that sounds good (my friend Clint is an expert in this field), any songs with awesome drums.
Bands: They Might Be Giants, Mindless Self Indulgence
Songs: "I Quit", from the Buffy soundtrack, "Ophelia" by Natalie Merchant, "Not the Doctor" by Alanis, "Jupiter" by Jewel, "Seven-eleven" by Mindless Self Indulgence.
Movies: Anything by Kevin Smith (i.e. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma), The Star Wars Trilogy, Empire Records, Singing In the Rain, Pretty Woman, The Rock, Renaissance Man, Romy and Michelle, EDITOR'S NOTE: PLEASE ADD "LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS" TO THIS (This list is subject to change--I am being reeducated in movies due to a tragic oversight. I just recently watched "Pulp Fiction" and "The Usual Suspects". More to follow...)
Quotes: "I do not regret the things I've done, but those I did not do." -Lucas off Empire Records; "Do, or do not. There is no try." -Yoda.

I'm an errand runner for Elliott Lodging, a property management company in Springfield. Good money, easy hours, nice people.

I used to work at KB Toys, which was THE most awesome job. To hear more about my experiences at KB at its employees, use this link: kb_toys

My class list is as follows: ENG 203-Creative Writing:Poetry
THE 130-Sript Analysis
PSY 101-Psychology for Personal Growth
MED 470-Alfred Hitchcock Films

Registration is coming up soon and, as typical, I have no idea what I'll be taking. Okay, that's a lie. It'll probably consist of about 4 of these:

Chemistry for the Citizen
French II
Pre-Calculus
English II
History of Broadcast Journalism (required)
Creative Writing-Playwrighting
Desktop Publishing (or some CIS class)

Once I get my financial aid worked out and actually pay for THIS semester, THEN I'll worry about next semester's classes.
