Iam a graduate student at the ECE Department of North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA. I passed out with a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from IETK in 2001. The field of computers really attracts me very much and it was my great affection with these friends of mine which instigated me to develop this site. I just adore the concept of networking with everybody and everything. Well thats enough about me; I guess ! This site came into being on the night of 20th December 1998, and I have great pleasure in announcing that it has seldom, if ever, remained static. Another feather in its cap is the successful launch of www.ietk.net . In the past, I have embarked on maiden projects to bring around web-instruction paradigms at my site so as to build this site's niche and hegemony in terms of the fundamental utility of any such site. The project is still in alpha stage and I am on the lookout for qualified students to delegate the work of its development. The main deterrents in any such project, as always, are the lack of institutional support, team, and above all integrity. I propose to rise above these and create a true Master Piece ala the Mona Lisa. May GOD be with us ! The sole purpose of this site is to give useful and factual information about the institute. Being relatively new in the field of HTML programming, I am not able to give the site the look I wanted, but nevertheless, I intend to make it one of the most informative and innovative sites around. Watch out for the latest happenings in and around IET, the latest science news and a completely inventive campus web-zine on this site. I recommend you bookmark the Home Page and join the mailing list to be notified of the newest updates and information. As promised, I have included a page for you to fill in your personal queries, identified as IETK Interactive. I assure you that they will be replied in at most 1 week's time of your posting your question. Look out for other great helpful pages coming up on all topics of general interest. Many sites exist which introduce a college or university, but I feel there is a dearth of indianised sites which can be helpful to a common engineering student or anyone who wants to keep abreast with all the latest developments in the field of science and technology. For this intent, I plan to put up interesting articles on astrophysics, chemistry, mathematics etc. with the help of my class-mates and professors. Well begun is half done and I feel that the step in the right direction has already been taken by me. We should all try to make the correct use of technology and prevent anyone from misusing it.
