The Annual Show of
 
    Shouts of joy will rise from as Danzantes del Alma presents:
"Al pasar el tiempo seguimos bailando" (Dancing through the Passing of Time).
Gritos, which are spontaneous cries from the soul, fill the air whenever Danzantes performs and shares its passion and skill for traditional folklorico dance and music, as dancers and audience members alike are swept up in the celebration. This 36-member student troupe will capture your heart with its exquisite performance, vibrant costumes, contagious enthusiasm, and love for the traditions and beauty of Mexico.

    This 22-year-old troupe obviously reflects the desire of veteran artistic director,
Monica Zuniga Martin, to present Mexican folk dance in the most professional fashion.  Danzantes will perform regional dances from: Jalisco, Michoacan, Norte, Nyarit, Veracruz, and Yucatan.  And a vibrant and lively suite from the 1940's which will include Mambo, Tango, and an excillirating Zoot Suit suite.  In addition we will present singing and the breath taking floreo artistry of Danzantes member Esteban Escobedo.

        This years annual show will be held at the Main Theatre of the University of California at Davis.  The Dates for the show are April 9 and 10.  Check this site for further information.  Ticket information will be available soon.
