::i'm trying a
new blog site. its actually quite sad to depart from this ghetto geocities site since i've had it since... 2000! haha, check out my first blog. its funny to look back at what you wrote so long ago and know exactly what was going through your mind at that time. i actually had a geocities site earlier than that for my old housemates and for pictures in second year - 98/99.

i may not abandon this old site yet, especially since it has all my links on it still. at the same time, i'm sure its more than time to move on. the new site isn't that great. i don't know if i can upload pictures to it yet but the blogging is easy. so kids, bookmark my new page!::

::got drunk last night for the first time in awhile. the funny thing was that it was just at dinner. we went to
cafe tu tu tango, which is a spanish style restaurant that's like an old artisan loft. there were paintings everywhere by local artists that you can buy and supposedly spontaneous live entertainment (ie belly dancers) although we didn't see any while we were there. anyway, the food was awesome - tapas style dishes and some fairly strong sangria. my mom told me i was loud and giggly when i got home last night. how embarassing.

everyone seems to be having such a great time out of town. Mel, Tan, Ashley - we miss you and wish you were here for the girly xmas festivities at the rude native this wkend!
i'm dreaming of vacations right now just to give myself a break. i keep picking up the travel section of the paper and scanning to see which deals i could possibly afford. then i read a few articles about the 10 best restaurants in New York City, or perhaps which south pacific island has the nicest resort and make a mental note to research that myself when i go there.

when I think about it, i've only had about 7 days off all year. even when i changed jobs i only had 2 days off before i started again. i didn't think it was that big of a deal until i've gotten hints that i've seemed burnt out (aka crusty?). ah well, i'm lucky i have a job and work with some of my best friends.

christmas is in only 12 days! thank goodness i've gotten everything done so i don't have to step near the mall. unless its to shop for me that is :) i may take my day off to sit around the mall sipping a g'bread latte watching all the crazy people do their last minute stuff.
ps: Happy Birthday Tanny!::

::weirdest coincidence today. i lost something, which i'm sure no one is surprised by. but i'm pretty upset since i just bought these comfy fleece lined, leather gloves a few weeks ago for prolly $50 since i figured my lil hands deserved to be warm this winter.
as i was walking out to my car after work i reached into my pocket for my warm new gloves and found only one. i retraced my steps all the way back to my desk and found nothing. so i gave up and figure that it blew away in those brutal snow squalls today and trudged back to my car stopping only to get out the snow scraper from the trunk. there, lying beside the snow scraper, were the gloves i lost
last year waiting for me to wear them home. i have no idea what the heck my gloves were doing there but it sure was convenient - yay for serendipity. now i remember why i should (but don't) get cheap gloves from zellers every year.

how am i so scatterbrained? i've been trying so hard to be more organized and less forgetful but end up hiding things on myself in an effort not to forget where i put them in the first place. i wonder if this type of personality trait will be with me forever. i guess the good thing is that i've always remembered the important things and people and dates. i think remembering those things are worth misplacing small insignificant items now and then (like my glasses - oops!)

on a different note, is it just me or does everyone say "and how..." these days? i always wonder about how these weird sayings become trendy. am i missing these quirky lines from movies or something? other famous
trendy lines - pretty hillarious if you ask me. holla!!!::
