By Air

According to their website: "Newcastle International Airport is the largest airport in North East England, flying to more than 85 destinations worldwide."
It's 30 minutes from Beamish (see the road directions here) and here are some of the best deals to fly there.

Once you arrive you will probably want a taxi or hire car. If you let us know what time you are arriving, we can probably put you in touch with other people arriving at the same time so you can share a car.

Hong Kong & Asia

- Emirates airlines flies into Newcastle via Dubai from Hong Kong, Singapore, China.

- British Airways flies to Newcastle via London from Hong Kong and Shanghai

- Cathay also flies to London Heathrow

- KLM flies to Newcastle via Amsterdam (but we've not had great trips with them before)

Canada

- AirTransat flies from Toronto and Montreal to London Gatwick.

- Zoom Airlines flies from Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal to London Gatwick

These are both the 'budget' options but you then need to transfer in Gatwick with another airline. You may also want to check British Airways who fly to Newcastle via London

Hire Car

Newcastle Airport
The airport is served by most major hire car companies; Avis, Europcar, National.
(Europcar offers a discount to all Easyjet passengers. )

Newcastle central train station
This doesn't have hire care offices on site, but there is a Europcar office within walking distance (there may be others)

There is this company that will bring the car to you as your train arrives! (never tried it though)

There are not direct buses from the airport to the venue. You'll need to take bus or metro train to the city centre first and follow the instructions for the city centre.

Taxis

We are still searching round local taxi companies to get some deals from the local stations, hotels and airport.

Check back again later, but if you know your inbound flight or train then let us know so we can try to get some taxis or buses booked
