Homerooms
The very apparent distinction between MRSM and government boarding school is the establishment of homeroom as a part of developing loving and caring environment in school.  A group of 15 students are assigned to each teacher to be treated as his or her children.  Thus, students who have internal, emotional, academic or psychological problem will have to refer to their homeroom advisor to be taken care of.  A homeroom meeting is hold once a week to strengthen kinship within the homeroom itself.  Homeroom members treat their advisor just like their father or mother and this artificial family helps the students to get rid of their homesickness.  The students' ups and downs in academic are monitored and immediate action is taken to improve the situation.  So far there are 24 homerooms and the figure will increase with the intake of Form 1 and Form 4 students in February 2000.
