A quick Blunt reView of week 3.

WE WERE WORSE THAN MINCE !

We now return you to your regular season.

Final Score
Rhein 20 - Claymores 10

No wait there is a bit of a review to come... more of the whole weekend with the Fans, the backfield, the stage, the players and the 1998 Blunt Views Song....

However it has to be said that this week once again the team looked out of sorts. Jim Ballard was trying far too hard to make passes... to Rhein Players. There were 4 passes intercepted. Luckily one of them was called out of bounds.

Yardage wise the team did okay. 300ish as far as I could tell. With excellent running from Bender. Once more the red zone offense stank. The moment we enter the 20 yard line you can COUNT on a Field Goal Attempt. At least Gary Parker can hit those now !

There were some positives for the Claymores. The offense scored a Touchdown without a fumble ! A great touchdown it was as well Dino Philyaw managing to break some tackles.

But it wasn't a good game other for the fan noise. More on that later (Monday probably).

And now....

Boneheaded Coaching Call of the Week

Last week we had the Bizzare calling on the last play of the first half see review of week 2. This week we had a number of calls to pick from.. but perhaps it's only fair to select another last play of the half call...

It's the last play of the 1st Half. The Clays are down 17-10. So we're driving to try and get a score by throwing big plays with 2 seconds left on the clock. (YES this bit is cut and pasted from last week !). So were about 40 yards out (someone is bound to correct me on that) 4 recievers on the field. Jim has ONE shot at the endzone... So we throw it about the 20 yard line - side line and time expires.

Why not throw it in the endzone ? Miles Mazik is 6'4" surely it's worth a shot ? There's plenty other things to pick but we'll leave it at that.

Bonehead call.

Bonehead game.

But perhaps we might improve once our 1st String Recievers (all three of them including Cooper) and Tight Ends come back. And it could be worse... Blunt Views could end up singing on Stage again... (yes AGAIN !)
