TDDP '97 The Tom Donahue Date Pool 1997

On a heated evening in August after the first annual Cleveburg Jake 'n Bake, verminfellows c-stone, harry, jim lees and tom took respite for a few rain thunderous moments at one of the many riverside Flats bars. The day had already been filled with an excess of its namesake, and as events normally turned, the gentle heated ribbing of Tom Donahue began.

At the suggestion of harry, the participants began discussing the merits and amusement factor of a "Tom Donahue Date Pool", in which wagers would attempt to predict the next occurrence of Tom's predetermined interaction with woman.

As follows are the agreed-upon rules.

  • Minimum bet $5.00.
  • Player must predict, in number of days from 08/18/97, in which Tom will next have a date with a woman.
  • "Woman" qualifies if Tom has not met with nor been romantically involved with said person prior to 08/18/97.
  • Tom receives 25% of pool.
  • Winner receives 75% of pool.
  • In absence of winner, person closest to number of days without going over shall be declared the winner.
