Two world records were broken yesterday
in Van Damme (8/23/96). Morocco's Salah Hissou lowered the men's
10,000 meter record by 5.45 seconds to 26m 38.08 s. Russia's
Masterkova
continued her hot streak by lowering the women's 1000 meter record
to 2m 28.98s.
