DMO was Captain of the Bazookas Hockey Team. He was met with an untimely death in an auto accident on March 23, 1997. A memorial game for DMO was played on March 27th at the Wallington InLine Skating Club where the team plays. At this game the #22 was retired by the InLine Skating Club. Also, the skating club announced a new award called "THE DMO". This award will be given to the Sportsman of the Year. DMO’s Bazookas jersey was also retired that same night at Bazookas and is now hanging from the rafters of the restaurant.
