I'm not sure of the timing for Hershey Park. It was prob 2 and a half to 3 hours from Washington, D.C. I think it is about and hour away from Gettysburg. I can't remember Hershey's ticket prices, but I do remember they were $30 something. After 5 pm, it's like only something like $15 or something like that. Once again, I went Thursday, July 30, 1998, and we got their late and left early and had plenty of time to ride most rides and visit Hershey World(which is a must!don't worry, it's right next to the entrance of the park. I've also been told that the Utz Potato Chip Factory is around there, and it's a must-see). For more info, check out the Official Hershey webpage.

Hershey Park was like a happy family place. It certainly wasn't the most daring and exciting park, I don't know why, but I really liked it. I liked the candy walking around, but I didn't see the Twizzlers guy!! I was mad! I wanted my pic with him!(hee-hee)The only real complaint about the park was that in a few places there were some steep hills(esp.between Sidewinder and Trailblazer and a few hills around Wildcat). Overall I really liked the park.
