It's a knockout was my favourite show as a little kid. I'm only 16 now but if it came back on at about 7:00 on a Saturday i'd definitely watch it. I used to get up every Saturday to watch it at 6:00 am. If I woke up half an hour through it I got upset. We need more shows like this that encourage and promote fun, team play, enjoyment and exercise. Shows like It's a Knockout are so much more positive than the depressing, spiteful and immoral shows that are screened these days (eg. The Weakest Link, Temptation Island) If a new series was made, I would love to compete if possible. It's such a superb show so bring it on!! PS. I love the Sketch Show and bring back Full Frontal. A bit of comedy is just what television needs. |

How can a TV show that has not been broadcast for almost 10 years and is still being talked about not going to be popular? Especially with the quality of the current TV shows coming out. Especially reality TV. Everyone I know loves It's A Knockout and want to see it back. Surely it would do better than half those tele-movies that come on during the day so why not just put in on then? At least people will watch TV during the day then. Please put It's A Knockout back on TV. |

Well, I remember this show from about ten years ago when it was aired here in the U.S. and my sister and I used to laugh ourselves sick every week when it came on. We thought it was the most hysterical thing we'd ever seen, and I STILL thing it is the best thing that ever aired...Unfortunately we only caught about 8 episodes before our network removed it. I have to say that those 8 hours were positively some of the most enjoyable times of my life, and I've had plenty of those. Our favorite was the steeplechase, especially when they would jump the obstacles and the horses would come apart in the middle. One time it slid down the ramp, all twisted and flailing around. Or there was the platform that would slowly raise up to 90-degree angle, and the teams had to hang on tight to the poles or end up sliding into the pool and getting soaking wet. One time the team was costumed as a band. I will never forget the 'piano player' hanging on for dear life with one arm and both legs clinging to the pole and his other arm wrapped around the giant foam piano. The rest of the band had long gone into the pool and were cheering him on. He eventually let go of the piano and managed to save himself. Absolutely brilliant. Whenever I'm feeling melancholy I think about IAK and it cheers me up. I wish they would show it here in the U.S. again. At least bring it back to Australian TV and I will fly there just to see it! Cheers! |

I was only young when it was aired but i used to wake up early (the broadcasted time was early for my age) and my family absolutely loved it! We used to sit together and enjoy the antics of the show. It's a knockout was a quality family television show and was part of the Australian cultural psyche. It encompassed the Australian "battler" spirit - deeply rooted in the Anzac traditions. No Australian "reality" television show has captured the spirit of the Australian people more so than "It's a Knockout". I was only 3 years old when Its a Knockout was first broadcast, and only in my early teens when the repeats were shown, but the shows sticks in my memory clear as a bell. There was something special about the show, it was a great mix of comedy, sport and action. My mates and I were all talking recently about shows we grew up with, and it was then we realised we all had and Its a Knockout obsession. If Channel 10 or any other TV station brought the show back (if they can do it with Perfect Match they can re-do anything!) or even screened repeats I would definitely be tuning in, along with lots of other people I know. I wouldn't care if they ran the show at 4 in the morning. Its a far more entertaining program than a lot of other rubbish on TV. My message to channel 10 is: Give the show another go, and monitor the amount of people who tune in. I think you will find a lot of people out there who will vote with their remote controllers! |

In my younger days, staying up to watch It's A Knock Out! was an incredible experience! Not only did I get to see normal Australians competing in exhilirating sports-based activities, but it was the most entertaining show I'd come across. So when I found out that It's A Knock Out! was being re-run on weekends at 6am, I'd make it my duty to set my alarm & watch it EVERY WEEKEND! Whats wrong with the world today. I grew up watching It's a knockout, and have many fun memories of watching it. There were no action figures, or box office movies associated with the show, it was just good clean FUN! Now my daughter has a choice of watching Digimon or Angelina Ballerina, there is nothing in between that we can all sit down and watch together without me having to explain the sexual connatations, or violence that often underpins many TV shows these days. Listen whoever the hell has the rights to It's A Knockout. You have a duty to all Australians to repeat this show. In fact, you actually have a duty to make another series - but we shall start with the repeats.
If there ever a television show that united drunken university students talking in a pub - it was IAK. Sure, Family Feud and Keynotes were good, but we are talking SERIOUS QUALITY in the form of IAK.
Look at all the crap repeated on our screens - Frasier, Seinfield - all this rubbish. Goddamit I want gameshows. AUSTRALIAN GAMESHOWS! I suggest an IAK revolution. I ask you all to unite as one and protest until we can't be bothered anymore. Bring it back - for God's sake bring it back... |

I absolutely used to love this show and everytime I have a conversation with others about my favourite tv shows, Its the number one show that I miss. My brother and I used to tune in everytime. I would be ecstatic if it were to come back on air, and so would alot of younger kids that never had the opportunity to watch it. As you are aware, Apex clubs were heavily involved in providing teams for the shows. As part of APEX'S 75TH anniversary in 2006, I am am planning a big IAK family fun day and revival. A lot of publicity will be given to this event and a lot of people would watch the old shows, especially as a lot of current members are children of the team members of that time. |

It's a Knockout was and still is the best game show ever to be produced. When i was a youg lad i use to wake up early every saturday morning just to watch the show. At that time i was only aged 4 and when the show ended in 1993 i was very upset and could not believe that they could take such a great game show off the air. When i was young one of my main goals in life was to get onto the game show It's a Knockout as it looked so fun enjoyable and exciting. In saying this if it were to come back onto tv i would give it a prime time slot as it was so grand. |

With TV nostalgia at an all time high, why not bring back repeats of classic shows in their entirity after midnight or early morning, instead of 2 second clips on best of specials. It is a fact that the Grundy's hold music is the It's A Knockout theme and TV shows are a large part of the DVD market and can only grow - Release It's A Knockout! on DVD or at the very least repeat a few on TV. |

I was not yet born when the series aired for the very first time, so I got stuck with watching the repeats that finished airing in 1993, I was 7 at the time. I remember getting up every Saturday morning at 6am (or whatever timeslot it was on, being 12 years ago, at the age of 7, my memory may be incorrect) to watch this great, humourous game show. Being from Canberra, and not liking NSW, I chose to support South Australia, as they wore my favourite colour, green. I have never had the chance to relive those memories, and even if it was broadcast at 2am in the morning (when there are endless repeats of other shows anyway), I will set my alarm clock and happily get out of bed to watch It's A Knockout! like I did in the past as a child. |
