1985

-Met up with Jim Hellwig (aka the Ultimate Warrior) while training for the Mr. America contest

Meets up with Rick Bassman, a muscle maven turned wrestling manager offers him and Hellwig wrestling contracts

-trains to become a wrestler by Red Bastien

-Makes debute with Jim Hellwig in a four man team called Power Team USA, managed by Rick Bassman. Hellwig was Rock, while he was Flash

-Both undefeated as a tag team and in singles, they moved to the Mid-South area on their own to find better competiton. Called themselves "The Freedom Fighters".

December: They won thier debute match in Mid-South against Jerry Bryant & Lou Winston in less than 3 minutes

1986


January: Changed their name to the Blade Runners. He changed his name to Sting. Began to apply face paint.

-Hellwig leaves team and is replaced by Eddie Gilbert

-Mid-South renames itself as UWF

August 20: They win the UWF tag team championships from The Fantastics in Tulsa, OK

December: Starts to team with Rick Steiner

1987

February 7: He and Steiner loses in the UWF Tag Team title tournament finals to Terry Taylor & Chris Adams in Fort Worth, TX

April 12: He and Steiner defeat Taylor & Adams for the UWF Tag Team titles

-Steiner & Sting break up and feud

-The two leave for the NWA to continue their feud

-Made an alliance with the Freebirds aided with thier feud with feuded with Larry Zbyszco, Eddie Gilbert, & Rick Steiner

December: Defeated Zbyszco, Gilbert, & Steiner with the Freebirds at Starrcade '87

1988

January: Begins to team with Nikita Koloff.

-Wins Crockett Cup tag team tournament with Lex Luger

1989

February 20: Defeats Butch Reed at the Chi-Town Rumble at the UIC Pavillion in Chicago, IL

March 31: Defeats Mike Rotundo for the TV title in Atlanta, GA

May 7: Defeats the Iron Sheik at the Music City Showdown at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, TN

June 14: Defeats Bill Irwin at Clash of Champions VII: Guts and Glory at Ft. Bragg in Fayettville, NC

-He aligns himself with Ric Flair

July 21: Loses to The Great Muta via a reverse decsion, when the instant replay showed that Muta's shoulder was up at the count of two

September 12: He and Flair defeat Duck Slater & The Great Muta at Fall Brawl '89 at the Carolina Colosseum in Columbia, SC

October 28: He and Flair defeat The Great Muta and Terry Funk in a thuderdome cage match at Halloween Havoc '89 at the Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, PA

-joins the Horsemen

December: Wins Ironman competiton at Starrcade '89, pinning Ric Flair in the finals. Gains shot at Ric Flair's NWA title

1990

February 6: After refusing to give up his shot for the NWA title, the Horsemen attack Sting, injuring his knee

July 7: In his comeback match, defeats Ric Flair for the NWA title

-Plagued by Horsemen and new threat, "The Black Scorpion"

October: The Horsemen tie up Sting in the lockerroom, and have Barry Windham dress like Sting to job to Sid Vicious for the NWA title. When the truth is found out, Sting defeats Vicious later that night.

December: At Starrcade '90, it was revealed that Ric Flair was the Black Scorpion, and Sting defeated him.

1991

January 11: Loses NWA title to Flair at the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, NJ

May 19: He and Luger lose to the Steiners after Nikita Koloff hits Sting with chain-loaded Russian sikle. The two begin got feud

Augest 15: Defeats Steve Austin in the finals of the WCW US title tournament in Atlanta, GA

November 19: Loses US title to Rick Rude, after WCW champion Lex Luger injures Sting's leg earlier in the night in Savannah, GA

1992

February 29: Defeats Luger for the NWA title at SuperBrawl '92 in Milwaukee, WI

July 12: Loses title to Big Van Vader in Albany, GA

-begins feud with Jake Roberts

August 2: Jake Roberts attack Sting and DDTed two times. Has to go to hospital 

October 25: Defeats Jake Roberts in a coal miners glover match at Halloween Havoc '92 at the Philidelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, PA. Roberts tries to get his snake to bite Sting, but Jake ends up getting bit.

November: Sting and Steiner reunite to feud with Catus Jack & Abdula the Bitcher

November 18: Defeats Rick Rude by decsion at Clash of Champions XXI at the Macon Coliseum in Macon, GA

December 28: Sting wins "The King of Cable" tournament, pinning Big Van Vader. The two eliminated each other earlier in the night, when they made it to the Battle Bowl battle royal

1993

January 13: Sting, with Dustin Rhodes and a late-coming partner Catus Jack, defeat Barry Windham, Big Van Vader, and Paul Orndorff in a thundercage match at Clash of Chmapions XXII at the Mecca in Milwaukee, WI

February: Starts to tag with Catus Jack in his battles with Harley Race's stable

February 21: Loses in a "White Castle of Fear" strap match to Vader at Super Brawl III at the civic center in Ashville, NC

March 11: Wins WCW World title from Vader in London, England

March 17: Loses title to Vader

June 17: He loses with partners Dustin Rhodes & Davey Boy Smith against Vader, Rick Rude, & Sid Vicious at the Clash of Champions at the Scope in Norfolk, VA.

1994

March 17: Wins the NWA title from Rick Rude in Chicago, IL

-loses title to Rude, but is soon vacated due to Rude's actions in the match

May 22: Defeats Vader to fill win the vacated NWA title

-Loses title to Flair and the title is unified with the WCW title 

1995

February 19: Sting and Savage defeat Big Bubba and Availanch at SuperBrawl V in Baltimore, MD

May 21: Sting defeats Big Bubba at Slambouree '95 in St. Petersberg, FL

June 18: Defeats Meng in the finals of the US title tournament

July 16: Sting defeats Meng at Bash at the Beach in Hunting Beach, FL

August 6: Sting & Road Warrior Hawk defeat Meng & Kurasawa at Clash of Champions 31 in Las Vegas, NV

December 27: Sting defeats Kensuki Sasauki and loses a triangle match with Luger to Flair at Starrcade '95 in Nashville, TN

1996

January 22: Defeats Harlem Heat with partner Lex Luger at World War 3 in Las Vegas, NV

January 24: With Lex Luger, defeat the Bluebloods at Clash of Champions 32 in Las Vegas, NV.

February 11: Sting and Luger defeat the Harlem Heat at SuperBrawl '96 in St. Petersberg, FL

March 24: Sting & Booker T (subbing for Luger) defeat the Road Warriors at Uncensored in Tupelo, MS

June 16: Sting defeats Steven Regal at The Great American Bash

July 7: Loses with partners Randy Savage and Lex Luger to Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach in Daytona Beach, FL. The NWO is formed.

August 11: Sting and Luger lose to Kevin Nash & Scott Hall after the referee Nick Patrick count a quick 3 count, at hog Wild in Sturgus, SD

August 15: Sting and Luger lose the WCW Tag Titles in a triangle match to the Harlem Heat at Clash of Champions 33 in Denver, CO. The Steiners also lost the match.

September 15: Sting, after being acused of attacking Luger, stroms the War Games match at Fall Brawl and leaves, leaving his team, Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, and Ric Flair, to lose to the "Fake Sting", Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall.

September 16: Sting becomes a "free agent" and tells WCW to "stick it".

Septmeber 25: After dismantling the Fake Sting, Sting is offered a chance to become an nWo member. His words were "There is only one thing for sure with the Stinger, nothings for sure." That was the last line he said before going silent.

1997

January: Randy Savage was "fired" from the WCW, and was with Sting for a while, until he joined the nWo at the end of the month.

March 17: At Uncensored, Sting cleans house. He officially sides with WCW, by attacking the nWo with a baseball bat.

-Sting attacks nWo, coming to the ring by dropping from the ceiling.

October: Sting-Hogan is signed. The Match to take place at Starrcade

December 28: Sting defeats Hogan for the WCW title at Starrcade in Washington, D.C. After Hogan pinned Sting and Bret Hart comes down and said Nick Patricks 3 count was too fast. Hart restarted the match and defeated Hogan with the Scorpion Death Lock! 


1998
Jan: On the first Thursday Night Thunder Sting gets stripped of the World Title and is declaired vacant because of the miss-hap at Starrcade.

Feb. 22: Defeats Hollywood Hogan at Superbrawl for the WCW World Title.

Mar : Defeats Scott Hall at Uncensored to retain the WCW World Title.

April 19: Defeated by Macho Man Randy Savage with the help of Liz and Kevin Nash.

May 17: (Slamboree)The Giant and Sting defeat The Outsiders for the Tag Team Titles when Scott Hall turned on partner Kevin Nash by slapping him upside the head with the belt.

May 18:  Nitro after Slamboree...Sting has to make decision on whether he goes NWO/Hollywood with the Giant....Sting made that decision by spitting in the Giant's face.

May 25:  Lex Luger joins the NWO/Wolfpack and has to tag team with Sting later that night against the Giant and the fake Sting...
To say the least Sting and Lex win!!
NWO/Wolfpack..request Sting to join there group..after pondering the situation
and listening to the crowd's screaming of YES...Stinger went NWO/Wolfpack!!!

June 1: Sting Officially goes NWO/WolfPac!!!
June 8: Sting speaks for the first time in along time by telling the Giant that he ownes him and that he is a seasoned 
wrestler and he is meaner and cockier!!
June 14: Sting beats the Giant at the Great American Bash for the
         Tag Team Titles!!!

July 20: Sting and Kevin Nash lose the Tag Belts to Scott Hall
         and The Giant on Nitro..due to Bret Hart's          intereferance!
