Welcome to my helmet pics page.
I get a lot of questions concering what some helmets actually looked like, so I decided to start a page of some helmet pics in an attempt to answer most of those questions before they get asked. This is not a complete pictoral history of football helmets, but hopefully these images will help anyone out there who is trying to complete a collection or is interested in sports history.

The Denver Broncos, 60-61. Helmet was brown, numbers and stripe were white.
Baltimore Colts blue horseshoe back helmet. Look closely at the player in the background.
As I understand it, helmet was blue and horseshoe was white.

Helmet was white, horseshoe and stripe were blue.
Philadelphia Eagles (vs Rams). This was the helmet they copied during the '94 throwback season. Helmet was green and center stripe was white.
Philadelphia Eagles white shell.
Boston Patriots, 1960 (vs Oilers). They only wore this helmet for half the season before going to the hiking patriot. Helmet is white, the little hat and numbers are blue, stripes are red.
An early Ram leather helmet. Color scheme is the same as the drawing below.

The Rams white horn version.
The Dallas Texans from the early 50's. They eventually folded and moved to Baltimore to become the Colts. Helmet is blue and center stripe is white.
