From 1990 when it was founded, Judo Star Riva has educated many people of all ages in the teachings of the Judo founder, Jigoro Kano, and encouraged them to spread their knowledge in the hope of a better world.

These teachings which cover such aspects as bodily expression, group communication and hygiene, all reflect a common theme:

Every year, Judo Star Riva has an exclusive programs, included in the following courses:

• Pre-school, animation for 4 – 5 years
• Bambini, propedeutic for 6 and 7 years
• Fanciulli, introductive for 8 – 10 years
• Ragazzi, formative for 11 – 16 years
• Yudansha progression for black belts

The objective of all courses, is the correct psycho-motiory education and in detail to:

• an active and enterprising spirit
• respect and reciprocal help
• the body and the discovery of its possibilities
• self-discipline as element of authonomy
• overcome himself first, than compete with others

During spring, frequent common lessons to achieve soft passing to next course (for Pre-school, Bambini and Fanciulli). End of term show at Christmas and during annual grading.

Annual gradiong at end of may (march for preschool) up to green belt: successive promotion is achieved considering personal commitment to social activities, in addition to the technical goals.

 The teachers’ techniques are updated constantly; to which end they attend courses, stages and seminars, held by the sport’s governing body and academic groups outside the region this enables them to improve and update their knowledge constantly.
