Warriors Statistics

Hello Softball !

Well after one week of Rainey Park ( The Hills ) and two weeks of rainouts, we finally played our first games of the year.

"We don't need no stinkin practice!"

The Warriors struck in game one by scoring 11 runs in the first inning, after our arch rivals , the Giants, scored six in the first inning thanks to two straight bonehead plays by the Warriors right center fielder, Hammer. (No Relation to the brilliant author of this page.)

The Warriors went on to win the first game 20-19, not just behind the masterful pitching of  Manny Lorenzo, but a key inside the park homerun by newly acquired Greg Francis, in the bottom of the sixth. His run eventually decided the game as Manny painted the corners and closed down the Giants in the seventh for his first victory of the new year.

We lost the second  game but I forgot what happened.

It's always best to learn from your mistakes and not repeat them again!
