On his performance in the all-star game:"I thought I played a good, solid game," Jones said. "It was an all-around good game. That's my style. I shot the ball well, created a little havoc out there, rebounded pretty good and got some guys some easy baskets."

On the excitement of the all-star game:"It was fun," he said. "All that flying and stuff is exciting. The fans wanted to see dunks and behind-the-back passes and all the tricks, and we gave them a good show."

On the impact Phills has had on him (all-star game con.):"I don't think I would be here without Bobby Phills," Jones said after the game. "He was a big supporter of mine and he did the little things on the court that allowed people to look at me. Without him, I wouldn't be here tonight. I dedicated this game to him, and I've dedicated this entire season to him."

On being picked for the all-star eastern team:"It's wonderful," said Jones. "It's a great thing, because very few players have a chance to be there. But like I've said before, I'd take 50 or 60 wins over this any day of the week."

More on being picked as an all-star:"As a kid, of course you think about making it," said Jones. "You always wish to be one of the select few. I probably wouldn't even be in this position if it weren't for Bobby Phills. He took a lot of pressure off me when I was on the court. And my teammates. If you don't have the other guys out there helping you, you can't do anything."

On his elbow recovery: When I come back, I want to come back right," said Jones. "I don't want to just come back. The way that brace feels on me, I don't like it. So, as bad as I want to play, I can't put myself in the position of playing with it on."

Silas on Eddie's injury:"It's going to be a huge loss for us," said Head Coach Paul Silas. "But we can't do anything but go on and hope that he has a speedy recovery. We've just got to find a way for some guys to step up and do the job while he's out."

Jones on his elbow injury:"I'm upset that it happened, but I know that injuries are part of the game," said Jones. "The only good thing is that it's an elbow, and my left elbow at that. I'm still going to be able to run and do all the things I would normally do in practice, except play full contact, so I'm shooting for being back in three weeks."

On his performance in a difficult game for the Hornets:"I knew coming out to start the third quarter that I had to be aggressive," said Jones. "When we got down five, it just felt like it was the right opportunity for me to step it up some, and things just went my way from then on. If you're moving, you're running and doing all the little things, then a lot of good things happen for you on the court. It's all about hustling."

On Hornets' play against Pacers: "Our athleticism showed up. We're a little bit younger than they are. It just happened to be clicking for me tonight. I was really getting in the passing lanes. I was just excited."

Jones on Celtics' Griffin: "I never heard of him before. But he's a great role player."

Griffin on Jones: "I wasn't surprised they were going to him. He's their go-to guy."
