The first rule in softball, if you want a good team, isn't good hitting, fielding, or pitching...it's good sportsmanship. Being a good sport is the most important. Your team needs to get along together as well as with other teams. Throwing helmets and bats in frustration is not accepted and cutting on other teammates should not be accepted either. Besides being on a team together, players should socialize out side of practice and games. Go bowling, eat pizza, movies, anything is good but be friendly and keep your team together!
Now for technique... Depending on the coach different aspects of softball are more important than others. Each position has different ways of playing, batting techniques vary, pitching stragity and just about everything else is different. Each position and batting has their basics. Check out your pitching tips on the pitching page. For catching check out the tips on the catching page. We'll eventually have stuff for each position and batting but the pages we have aren't made yet but they will be soon!
