LOS VATOS teach WHERE'S THE BEEF lesson on winning
LOS VATOS dig out in time to score 63-62 victory
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
63 LOS VATOS (1-1)
• Jason Campbell - 16t TD
• Edgerrin James - 128 rush yards, 17r TD
• Chad Johnson - 209 rec yards, 22c 14c TD
• Marques Colston - 4c TD
• Neil Rackers - 28g 53m 52g 42g FG

62 WHERE'S THE BEEF (1-1)
• Drew Brees - 260 pass yards, 4t TD
• Clinton Portis - 6r TD
• Joey Galloway - 135 rec yards, 69c 24c TD
• Braylon Edwards - 146 rec yards, 34c 37c TD
• Minnesota O/D - 9df TD
(9/18/2007) — In a typical Mark R-led performance, the LOS VATOS overcame penalties and turnovers to out play the WHERE'S THE BEEF 63-62.

Chad Johnson looked all-world this week with a couple of touchdowns and 11 receptions for 209 yards. Edgerrin James is starting to look very comfortable in Arizona's offense. James rushed for 128 yards, caught 2 balls for 22 yards, and scored on a 17-yard run. Marques Colston is slowly starting to generate some production in New Orleans struggling offense. Colston scored a short touchdown and finished with 8 receptions for 70 yards.

"We're faster than the WHERE'S THE BEEF," LOS VATOS coach Mark R said. "Our defense didn't used to be faster, and now it is. That might sound cocky, but it's true. ... I mean no disrespect to them. I love playing against those guys, but as a team, we have more team speed now."

Joey Galloway made his catches count this week, turning 2 of 4 receptions into scores and finishing with 135 yards. Braylon Edwards was in the right place at the right time all day on Sunday. Edwards grabbed two 30+ touchdowns while catching 8 balls for 146 yards. Drew Brees continued to struggle this week with 260 yards on 26 of 44 passing and just one score, a 4-yard touchdown pass.

"We're trying to make some corrections," said losing coach Chris J. "We're trying to find out the guys who want to bust their tails and play their assignments. Those who don't, we gotta make changes if we can't get 'em to play and play disciplined. Obviously we looked like a very poorly coached team - offense, defense, special teams. Until we can get some consistent effort, we're gonna struggle all year."

WOGG DOGGS whip STORM 68-31, move to 1-1
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
31 STORM (1-1)
• Peyton Manning - 312 pass yards, 22t TD
• Jeff Wilkins - 27g 29g 53g 56m FG

68 WOGG DOGGS (1-1)
• Jake Delhomme - 307 pass yards, 7t 12t 74t TD
• Carnell Williams - 1r 1r TD
• Antonio Gates - 12c TD
• Jason Elam - 23g 45m 20g 23g FG
• Chicago O/D - 73pr TD
(9/18/2007) — When the going got tough WOGG DOGGS coach Paul M got tougher, leading the team to 68-31 victory over the STORM.

Jake Delhomme tossed an excellent game on Sunday with 3 scores and over 300 yards on 27 of 41 passing. Carnell Williams played through his rib injury this week and was rewarded with a couple of 1-yard touchdowns. Williams finished with 61 yards on 24 carries. Antonio Gates was a frequent target again this week as he pulled in 7 balls for 77 yards and a score.

"All it does is create the opportunity to get something done that we had set our sights on in training camp," WOGG DOGGS coach Paul M said.

Peyton Manning racked up over 300 yards on 28 of 42 passing but only found the end zone once on a 22-yard pass.

"I told the team to come in with their helmets tight. But no one was paying attention," STORM coach Brian H said. "I know what I have to do to win in this league, and I didn't get the job done."

Steve Smith, T-BONE CRUSHERS outscore IMPALERS 71-57

• Ahman Green - 13r TD
• Travis Henry - 128 rush yards
• Randy Moss - 105 rec yards, 23c 24c TD
• Steve Smith - 153 rec yards, 7c 12c 74c TD
• Adam Vinatieri - 22g 39g 20g 36m FG

57 IMPALERS (1-1)
• Tony Romo - 2t 34t TD
• Rudi Johnson - 118 rush yards, 13c TD
• Chris Chambers - 109 rec yards
• T.J. Houshmandzadeh - 23c 5c TD
• Roy Williams - 111 rec yards, 9c TD
• Matt Stover - 28g 46m 43g FG
• New England O/D - 65i TD
(9/18/2007) — The T-BONE CRUSHERS beat the IMPALERS 71-57 behind 22 points from WR Steve Smith in a brutal rivalry.

Steve Smith hasn't gotten much press so far this season, but let's see how his 3 touchdowns and 153 yards changes things. Randy Moss looked great again this week with 2 more touchdowns and 105 yards on 8 catches. Jon Kitna had an average performance this week with 245 yards passing and one score.

"This is a statement game for us in our league," said T-BONE CRUSHERS coach Coach. "We did what we need to do. We're hard to beat when we're running the ball like that and our offense capitalizes on the turnovers we get."

Rudi Johnson was a workhorse this week with 118 yards on the ground and 4 receptions for 33 yards (including a 13-yard touchdown). T.J. Houshmandzadeh enjoyed the shootout against Cleveland this week by grabbing 8 balls for 69 yards and 2 scores. Tony Romo cooled down from his week 1 performance, throwing for just 186 yards on 14 of 29 passing. Romo connected on 2 touchdown passes in the game.

"I am absolutely stunned with this loss," said IMPALERS coach Dan P, whose team apparently was a bit overconfident coming into the game.

NATURE BOYZ and TECHNOIDS end in deadlock, 42-42
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
42 TECHNOIDS (1-0-1)
• Tom Brady - 279 pass yards, 7t 23t 24t TD
• Willis McGahee - 2c TD
• Donald Driver - 10c TD
• Plaxico Burress - 26c TD
• Josh Brown - 28g 28g FG

42 NATURE BOYZ (0-1-1)
• Jay Cutler - 269 pass yards, 9t TD
• Joseph Addai - 8r TD
• Shaun Alexander - 16r TD
• Terrell Owens - 34c TD
• Stephen Gostkowski - 41m 24g FG
(9/18/2007) — The NATURE BOYZ locker room seemed content with a tie after they came back from a large deficit late in the game.

Tom Brady didn't have any problems leading New England to victory this week, completing 25 of 31 passes for 279 yards and 3 scores. Willis McGahee just missed a 100-yard rushing game (26 attempts for 97 yards) but topped 100 yards of total offense with 2 catches for 6 yards and a score. Donald Driver grabbed a 10-yard touchdown pass while catching 8 balls for 73 yards.

When asked how the tie felt, NATURE BOYZ coach Ron S said, "We didn't win but, we didn't lose. It's so disappointing. You have this uneasy feeling that you lost, but you know you really didn't."

Jay Cutler had a difficult game on Sunday as he was sacked twice, intercepted twice, and completed 23 of 33 passes for 269 yards. Cutler's only score came on a 9-yard pass. Joseph Addai gained 81 yards on the ground, caught 2 balls for 6 yards, and scored on an 8-yard run. Shaun Alexander still hasn't reached his peak form from two years ago, but he's still producing some fantasy output. Alexander rushed for 70 yards and scored on a 16-yard run.

"We had our best practice Friday so I was fooled," Dan L said. "I thought going on the field we'd play well, but we didn't. We have to find out why it happened and make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm happy to get a tie."

Marc Bulger deals BROKEN BONES another loss
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
15 BROKEN BONES (0-2)
• Adrian Peterson - 52 rec yards
• Brian Westbrook - 66 rec yards

61 TOEJAMMS (2-0)
• Marc Bulger - 368 pass yards, 12t TD
• Marion Barber - 1r 40r TD
• Torry Holt - 12c TD
• Andre Johnson - 120 rec yards, 31c 9c TD
• David Akers - 24g 39g 26g 22g FG
(9/18/2007) — Jim L, despite making several good lineup decisions, was ultimately out coached by Coach of the TOEJAMMS 61 - 15.

Marc Bulger didn't have the most productive game, but maybe that was due to the 6 times he was sacked. Bulger connected on one score and finished with 368 yards. Marion Barber impressed owners this week with touchdown runs from 1 and 40 yards out and 95 yards of total offense. Andre Johnson is quietly on his way to a great season. Johnson caught a couple more touchdown passes this week and finished with 7 receptions for 120 yards.

"It didn’t seem that they really ran at us a lot," TOEJAMMS coach Coach said. "They passed a lot in the first half and that played right into our hands. There were a lot of three-and-outs and our defense dominated."

Brian Westbrook delivered most of Philadelphia's production on Monday night with 96 yards on the ground and 8 receptions for 66 yards. Adrian Peterson struggled on the ground this week (20 carries for 66 yards) but found some success catching the ball with 4 receptions for 52 yards.

"We know we've got to come out and play 60 minutes," BROKEN BONES coach Jim L said. "We know we can't play for a half or even three quarters. We've got to play the whole game."

Carson Palmer walks the talk for GALLOPING GESTOPOZ in 67-61 win
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
67 GALLOPING GESTOPOZ (1-1)
• Carson Palmer - 401 pass yards, 13t 23t 22t 14t 5t 7t TD
• Willie Parker - 126 rush yards, 11r TD
• Calvin Johnson - 7c TD
• Jason Hanson - 30g 48m 37g FG

61 ACTING CAPTAINS (0-2)
• Matt Leinart - 299 pass yards, 30t TD
• Cedric Benson - 101 rush yards
• Frank Gore - 1r 43r TD
• Jerricho Cotchery - 165 rec yards
• Javon Walker - 101 rec yards
• Robbie Gould - 47g 38g FG
(9/18/2007) — The competitiveness between the GALLOPING GESTOPOZ and the ACTING CAPTAINS was fun to watch in the high scoring week 2 affair as the GALLOPING GESTOPOZ outscored the ACTING CAPTAINS 67-61, improving their record to 1-1.

Carson Palmer had a career day with 6 touchdown passes and 401 yards on 33 of 50 passing. Palmer may have lost his shootout this weekend, but he didn't let his fantasy owners down. Willie Parker isn't the most vocal player in the league, but he sure knows how to run the ball. Parker rushed for 126 yards including an 11-yard touchdown.

"There was a lot of talk this week whether I should make a change at quarterback. I've said all along I don't care what a lot of people on the outside think, but I know these guys in this locker room believe in me and I think I choose the right starter, GALLOPING GESTOPOZ coach C J said. Hopefully, today maybe I proved a point."

Frank Gore looks to be getting back to last year's form as he scored from 1 and 43 yards and rushed for 81 yards. Owners are still waiting for Matt Leinart to have a big game this season. Leinart scored once and threw for 299 yards. Jerricho Cotchery caught a ton of big passes this week as he turned 7 receptions into an outstanding 165 yards.

"I'm upset. No one likes to start a season like this. We had a lot of opportunities in that game and we gave it away," ACTING CAPTAINS coach George K said.
