Stink cloud intensifies, ACTING CAPTAINS lose again
Paul M predicts victory, then delivers 57-22
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
22 ACTING CAPTAINS (0-6)
• Damon Huard - 264 pass yards, 3t 26t TD
• Robbie Gould - 32g FG

57 WOGG DOGGS (3-3)
• Derek Anderson - 1r 24t 5t 16t TD
• Larry Johnson - 119 rush yards, 8r TD
• Bobby Engram - 120 rec yards
• Shayne Graham - 33g 36g FG
• Chicago O/D - 89pr TD
(10/16/2007) — Focused more on winning than avoiding mistakes , the WOGG DOGGS (3-3) turned in several big plays in an easy win over the ACTING CAPTAINS (0-6).

Derek Anderson continued his impressive season with 4 more touchdowns and 245 yards on 18 of 25 passing. Anderson's 16 touchdowns is third best in the league. Larry Johnson had a nice game with 119 yards on 31 carries and an 8-yard score. It would have been much nicer for owners if he hadn't fumbled at the goal line to finish a long run. Bobby Engram stepped up this week to pull in a season high 9 receptions for 120 yards.

"Derek Anderson played with a smile on his face," WOGG DOGGS coach Paul M said. "He was determined to show that he should have that job. I'm happy for him. I think we are on track."

Damon Huard needed a game against Cincinnati to boost his confidence. Huard connected on two touchdown passes, threw for 264 yards, and had no turnovers.

"Too many mistakes early, and too little, too late," said ACTING CAPTAINS coach George K. "It was all across the board, offense, defense and special teams."

BROKEN BONES blaze a trail through with devastating victory
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
74 BROKEN BONES (3-3)
• Donovan McNabb - 278 pass yards, 75t TD
• Adrian Peterson - 224 rush yards, 67r 73r 35r TD
• Brian Westbrook - 120 rush yards
• Nate Burleson - 22c TD

44 WHERE'S THE BEEF (2-4)
• Drew Brees - 3t 2t TD
• Joey Galloway - 69c TD
• Braylon Edwards - 24c 5c 16c TD
• Mason Crosby - 46m 37g 38m FG
(10/16/2007) — After scoring 74 points, it was obvious that the BROKEN BONES didn't plan to rely on a tenacious D to win this one.

Adrian Peterson had an unbelievable day with touchdown runs from 67, 73, and 35 yards, 224 yards on the ground, and 1 catch for 9 yards. Donovan McNabb is trying to regain last season's exciting performances, but it didn't happen this week. McNabb struck pay dirt on a 75-yard touchdown (his only score) and finished with 278 yards. Brian Westbrook pounded out the yardage in a low scoring game on Sunday. Westbrook rushed for 120 yards on 20 carries and had 6 receptions for 36 yards.

"I have the team's confidence. I remind myself to be patient, and when I do that, good things happen," Jim L said.

Drew Brees had his best game of the season, but that isn't saying a whole lot just yet. Brees scored from 2 and 3 yards out and finished with 246 yards on 25 of 36 passing. Braylon Edwards continued his outstanding season with 3 more touchdowns. Edwards finished with 5 catches for 67 yards. Joey Galloway turned in another fine performance this week with 4 catches for 97 yards and his second 69-yard touchdown of the season.

"We had red zone turnovers. But I'm not going to sit here and tell you, 'If this would have happened, if that would have happened," coach Chris J said. "You saw what happened. They came out and controlled the ballgame."

IMPALERS and GALLOPING GESTOPOZ heading in opposite directions
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
71 IMPALERS (5-1)
• Tony Romo - 12t 8t TD
• LenDale White - 2r TD
• Maurice Jones-Drew - 125 rush yards, 59 rec yards, 7r 57r TD
• T.J. Houshmandzadeh - 145 rec yards, 42c 30c TD
• Matt Stover - 43g 42g 23g 31g 36g FG

43 GALLOPING GESTOPOZ (1-5)
• Carson Palmer - 320 pass yards, 42t 30t TD
• Wesley Welker - 124 rec yards, 35c 12c TD
• Mike Nugent - 30g 44m 21g 30g FG
(10/16/2007) — In a typical Dan P-led performance, the IMPALERS overcame penalties and turnovers to out play the GALLOPING GESTOPOZ 71-43.

Matt Stover had a huge day with 5 field goals and an extra point. Stover now leads the league with 18 field goals, but is still looking for his first attempt from 50+ yards. Maurice Jones-Drew gave owners a taste of what last season was like with a couple of touchdowns, 12 carries for 125 yards, and 4 receptions for 59 yards. T.J. Houshmandzadeh returned from his bye week on fire, grabbing two touchdown passes and finishing with 8 receptions for 145 yards. Housh has three 100-yard games in a row and 7 scores on the season.

"I felt I could basically take over the game with my mind. I made C J look ridiculous," IMPALERS coach Dan P said.

Carson Palmer is struggling to bring home wins for Cincinnati, but he isn't letting fantasy owners down. Palmer scored twice this week and threw for 320 yards. Wesley Walker delivered a huge game this week with 11 receptions, 124 yards (his first 100-yard game), and two touchdowns.

"Matt Stover was their focal point, their stud, their Pro Bowl guy," GALLOPING GESTOPOZ coach C J said. "I guarantee that that yell he let out -- it was relief that it was over and we got it done. He's not one to rub it in."

NATURE BOYZ try group hug after humbling loss to TOEJAMMS
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
61 TOEJAMMS (4-2)
• Matt Schaub - 259 pass yards
• LaDainian Tomlinson - 198 rush yards, 3r 27r 13r 41r TD
• David Akers - 22g 41m 41m 31g 25g FG

42 NATURE BOYZ (3-2-1)
• Bernard Berrian - 39c TD
• Terrell Owens - 12c TD
• Donte' Stallworth - 136 rec yards, 69c TD
• Stephen Gostkowski - 45g 22g FG
(10/16/2007) — Blocking out the stadium noise, RB LaDainian Tomlinson controlled the game, leading his team with 37 points.

LaDainian Tomlinson returned to last season's form against Oakland on Sunday. LT scored four rushing touchdowns, rushed for 198 yards, and grabbed 3 receptions for 16 yards. Matt Schaub didn't fare too well in a tough matchup against Jacksonville this week. Schaub, still missing his number one target, completed 19 of 31 passes for 259 yards. Kellen Winslow has proven that he can play through minor aches and pains. Winslow didn't have a spectacular game this week, but he still caught 5 balls for 90 yards.

"Guys just made plays. We didn't have the mistakes," TOEJAMMS coach Coach said. "They weren't the best defense in the fantasy league -- let's not get too carried away."

Donte' Stallworth looks like he is ready to be a productive receiver again. Stallworth grabbed a season high 7 balls for 136 yards, including a huge 69-yard touchdown. Bernard Berrian finally gave owners something to cheer about this week with his first touchdown of the season. Berrian finished with 5 receptions for 78 yards. Terrell Owens ended a 3-game scoreless streak with a 12-yard touchdown, but he wasn't much of a factor in the game. Owens finished with 6 receptions for 66 yards.

"Their coach has done a marvelous job there," NATURE BOYZ coach Ron S said. "Obviously. Wow. They have, I'm sure, exceeded even their own expectations, and they're very high there."

LOS VATOS deny T-BONE CRUSHERS of victory 53-45
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
45 T-BONE CRUSHERS (4-2)
• Tarvaris Jackson - 60t TD
• Randy Moss - 6c TD
• Steve Smith - 136 rec yards, 65c TD
• Kevin Curtis - 121 rec yards, 75c TD
• Rob Bironas - 48g FG
• Dallas O/D - 29df TD

53 LOS VATOS (3-3)
• Brian Griese - 381 pass yards, 39t 33t 81t TD
• Edgerrin James - 23r TD
• Marques Colston - 2c TD
• Neil Rackers - 50g FG
(10/16/2007) — The LOS VATOS followed through on its promise to throw the ball more this season as QB Brian Griese passed for 26 points in a win over the T-BONE CRUSHERS.

Brian Griese is definitely comfortable as Chicago's starting quarterback now. Griese tossed 3 long touchdowns and finished with 381 yards passing. Edgerrin James only managed 80 yards rushing in Arizona's short game this week, but he turned a 23-yard run into a touchdown.

"He's a champion, man," Brian Griese said of coach Mark R. "Today coach came out there and had a great performance. No one can out-think our coach."

It appears that Steve Smith can make anyone look good at quarterback, including Vinny Testaverde. Smith grabbed 10 balls for 136 yards and scored a 65-yard touchdown. Kevin Curtis turned on the burners to score a 75-yard touchdown while catching 5 balls for 121 yards. Randy Moss did slightly better than last week with a 6-yard touchdown and 6 receptions for 59 yards.

"It kind of stunned me," T-BONE CRUSHERS coach Coach said. "My brain is a little sore, but I'm OK after that. It didn't hinder me at all during the game."

TECHNOIDS tame helpless STORM 54-23
Statsworld.com Fantasy Sources
23 STORM (3-3)
• Ronnie Brown - 101 rush yards, 69 rec yards
• Ryan Longwell - 48g 55g FG

54 TECHNOIDS (4-1-1)
• Tom Brady - 388 pass yards, 6t 35t 12t 1t 69t TD
• Plaxico Burress - 43c TD
• Phil Dawson - 40g 20g FG
(10/16/2007) — Whether you call them lucky or good, the TECHNOIDS extended their consecutive win streak to 3 games with another good performance, this time at the expense of the STORM 54-23.

Tom Brady played okay this week… if you call 5 touchdowns and 388 yards an average day. Brady looks unstoppable this season with 21 touchdowns, 1771 yards, and just 2 picks after 6 games. Plaxico Burress kept his great season going strong with another long touchdown and 97 yards receiving on Monday night. Burress is tied with Randy Moss for a league leading 8 touchdowns.

"He's a special player, and that's why I think he's going to be in the Fantasy Hall of Fame," TECHNOIDS coach Dan L said of Tom Brady. "He was very, very tough."

Ronnie Brown didn't score this week, but he delivered some nice fantasy figures. Brown turned in his fourth 100-yard rushing game in a row and caught 9 balls for 69 yards. Vince Young's stock continued to fall this week after completing just 11 of 14 passes for 120 yards and 2 turnovers.

"I don't see any reason to think that we don't belong in that category," said STORM coach Brian H. "But they earned the right to be where they are, and we have not yet. But we are building something here."
