The Tragically Hip Rule!!!!!!!!!!

The Tragically Hip are one of the most successful bands in Canadian music history. They have released eight albums over the duration of their career, the newest being "Phantom Power", released in July of 1998. There are many great bands in Canada including: "The Tea Party", "Econoline Crush", "54-40", "Our Lady Peace", and "Matthew Good Band". These are just a few of the bands that make Canadian music what it is today. The Hip are all best friends for Kingston, Ontario who have stayed together for about fifteen years making music that Canadians have come to love.

They started out with a self-titled debut in 1987 and have been putting out platinum records as they improved their musical talents over the years. "Phantom Power" may be the Hip's proudest effort as a lot of feeling and insight went into making the album what it is. The Hip are the greatest.

Aside from producing great studio albums, the Hip are one of the best live acts in the world. I had the opportunity to see them on their 1999 Winter Tour and they blew me away. It was at Harbour Station in Saint John, which was the first night of the tour. Two encores and energy from every member of the band made it a great night for me and definitely worth the money to see them. They have a ravid fan following in Canada as seen at this past Woodstock in Rome, NY. The flags were flying high as Canada's boys took the stage.
