NIHJA 1999 Show Results and Point Totals

*** Riders Please Note ***
All riders should qualify their show results and corresponding
point values. Please email the points secrectary, Joe Klen at: klen@mediaone.net
concerning any questions or errors in regards to show results and/or point values.
Riders, please be aware of the following rules:
- All ties for Champion and Reserve are broken by identifing the horse/rider having the most points over fences. If this still results in a tie, then a tie between those riders/horses is declared and the full amount of points are awarded. If this is identified during the show, a hack off for Champion and/or Reserve should occur.
- The Half Point Rule is applied to all divisions except for:
- Short Stirrup Equitation
- Long Stirrup Equitation
The Half Point Rule states that Champion and Reserve places are only awarded to the two top riders/horses in a division having acquired at least 1/2 point over fences. This means you must place in one of the over fence classes to be eligible for either the champion or reserve award.
- Points for any class starting with less than 3 riders or having less than 3 finishers will not count toward the horse/rider point total for that division. As indicated in the General Rules of the AHSA Chapter 3 "Terms of Competition and Determining Winners", Article 905-General (line/rule 2)states: "No credit (points) will be given to classes if less than 3 entries have shown and placed".
- There must be at least 2 classes that finish with the mimimum number of entries for a Champion and Reserve placing to awarded.
- Eligibility for Champion and Reserve awards require the rider/horse be entered in the entire division. NOTE: it is not necessary to ride in each class.
- Points associated with Champion and Reserve (20 and 12 respectfully) are not used nor applied to the year end total for any of the equitation divisions with the exceptions of the Long and Short Stirrup Equitation classes.
*** One last note - please check the Post Show Modifications List to identify any changes to original show placements and/or awarded points. This list is located directly below the following show results.

4/19: 5 Corners @ Ledges (1/30-31)
- Amatuer Adult Eq - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Amatuer Adult Eq - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
- Amatuer Adult Hunter - O/F pts breaks show result tie for Reserve Champ. Solitaire (16pts O/Fs) vs Visions of Blue (8pts O/Fs).
- Beginner Hunter - Show Error - Smarty Pants is Reserve Champ. (11pts) vs Firebird Sweet (9pts).
- Combined Jumper - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Limit Equitation - O/F pts breaks show result tie for Reserve Champ. Casey Greenlees (6pts O/Fs) vs Wendy Lani (2pts O/Fs).
- Non Pro Hunter - O/F pts breaks show result tie for Reserve Champ. It Could Happen (6pts O/Fs) vs Warlock (2pts O/Fs).
- Novice Adult Hunter - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Novice Adult Hunter - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
3/1: Red Coat (2/26-28)
- Show results and awarded points were correct(yea!!!). Results stand as they were indicated at the end of show.
- (5/18) Childrens Hunter - It has been noted that Unrelated Prospect was ineligble to enter the Children Hunter Division. To correct the problem, the places that were won by Unrelated Prospect will be replaced with the subsequent entries in that class (horse entries will be moved up one place in the cooresponding class results.
4/19: Palatine (3/12-14)
- Limit Equitation - Show Error - since 1/2pt rule applies, Nicole Roos bumps Kaitlyn Nogar for Reserve Champ.
- Large Hunter - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Low Working Hunter - Show Error - since 1/2pt rule applies,
In The Pinque bumps Flannel Pajamas for Reserve Champ.
- Pre Green Hunter - O/F pts breaks show result tie for Champion making Shadow Dancing (16pts O/Fs) Champion and Corner Pocket (10pts O/Fs) Reserve.
- Small Hunter - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Small Hunter - Due to loss of U/S pts (less than 3 entries), Lasting Impression becomes Reserve Champ.
4/19: Pingree Oaks @ Lamplight (4/9-11)
- All Equitation Divisions (except Short and Long Stirrup) that had 2 O/F classes resulted in the first O/F class as a warmup - no points are awarded. Only the results of the second O/Fs class were awarded points.
- Amateur Adult Hunter - O/F pts breaks show result tie for Reserve Champ. Sports Page (8pts O/Fs) vs Bashful Lark (6pts O/Fs).
- Beginner Eq. - Show Error - Catie Knoebel (12pts) is Reserve Champ. vs Courtney Zaluckyj (10pts)
- Combined Jumper - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Combined Jumper - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
- Junior Hunter 14> - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Junior Hunter 14> - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
- Novice Adult Hunter - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
5/24: Stateline (4/23-25)
- Beginner Hunter - Show error - incorrectly calculated Res. Champ as Joe Cool (12 pts), should be Sneak Preview (14pts).
- Junior Eq. 14> - No Champion or Reserve placing will be given in a division if less than 2 full classes have shown.
- Junior Eq. 14> - No point credit will be given in classes if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Junior Hunter 14> - No point credit will be given in classes if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Junior Hunter 14> - Since points from the last O/F class cannot be used (less than 3 entries), "Son Of A Gun" is Champ and "Spring Sunset" is Reserve.
- Short Stirrup Hunter - Show error - points miscalculated, "Sneak Preview" Champ with 22 pts, "Prince Charming" Reserve with 18pts.
- (5/31) Junior Hunter 13< - "Cute As A Button" was removed from this division since the NIHJA rules states: "Ponies may not be entered in this division if a Pony hunter division is offered at the same competition. All subsequent finishers have been moved up appropriately.
6/9: Silverwood (5/1-2)
- Combined Jumper - Need names of horses for show entry numbers 64 & 65.
- Junior Amateur Jumper - Need names of horses for show entry numbers 63 & 65.
- Low Working Hunter - Show Error, correction makes Spelbound Champ with 12 pts, Celtic Connection Reserve with 11pts
- Short Stirrup Equitation - Need name of rider for show entry number 70.
- Short Stirrup Hunter - Need name of horse for show entry number 70.
- Training Jumper - Need names of horses for show entry numbers 29, 65, 64, & 16.
6/9: Birch Hill (5/14-16)
- Small Hunter - No point credit will be given in classes if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Small Hunter - Since points from the last U/S class cannot be used (less than 3 entries), "Reuben" becomes new reserve champ.
6/9: Netherlands (5/28-30)
- Mini Medals - Need rider name for show entry number 266
- Pre Green Hunter - Show Error, correction places Ruby Slippers as Reserve with 16pts, A36 Bonanza had 13.
7/30: 5 Corners (6/11-13)
- Pre Green Hunter - Show Error - Charmed is Reserve with 14pts, A36 Bonanza had 12.
7/30: Market Hill (6/25-27)
- Combined Jumper - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Combined Jumper - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
- Novice Adult Hunter - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Novice Adult Hunter - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
7/30: Tievoli (7/9-11)
- Beginner Equitation - Need name of rider for entry number 398 (3rd U/S).
- Non Pro Hunter - Show Error - Spare Change is ResChamp with 12pts, Bashful Lark had 10.5pts
8/17: Palatine (7/23-25)
- Show results and awarded points were correct(yea!!!). Results stand as they were indicated at the end of he show.
8/17: Ledges (8/6-8)
- Junior Hunter 13< - Show error, A36Bonanza replaces Unrleated Prospect for Reserve Champ having more points O/Fs.
- Long Stirrup Equitation - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Long Stirrup Equitation - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
- Long Stirrup Hunter - No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Long Stirrup Hunter - No Champ/Reserve awarded if less than 2 classes finish with less than the mimimum number of entries.
9/07: Spring Hill Farm (8/20-22)

- Junior Equitation 14< - Show error - incorrect point calculation. Maggie Gould replaces Vanessa Pugliese for Reserve Champ.
- Junior Hunter 13< & 14> divisions were combined.
- Non Pro Hunter - Show Error - Champ is Solitaire (16pts), Reserve is Sundancer (14pts). Replaces Well Lit (11pts) and Macnificent Miles (10pts).
- Non T/B Hunter (O/Fs)- No point credit awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Non T/B Hunter - Since 2nd O/Fs class is not valid, Sundancer bumps Cappuccino for Reserve.
9/07: Illusion (8/27-29)
- Limit Hunter - Show Error - Harmony Bay (12pts) replaces Esperanza (10pts) as Reserve Champ.
- Long Stirrup Equitation (O/Fs) - No point credit will be awarded if less than 3 entries have shown and placed.
- Pre Green Hunter - Show Error - Racunia Royale (14pts) replaces Stealth (12pts) for Reserve.
