The History
of Our Swim Team
The East Stroudsburg Swim Team was formed in 1962, which at that time was called the ESHS Mermen, led by head coach Jack Kist. Thirteen years later, in 1975, the team ended but was reinstated as a varsity sport in 1986. Since then the Cavaliers have participated and competed in the District 11 Mountain Valley Conference (MVC), which has been recently enlarged to hold several new schools starting in the 1998-99 year.
