KINJO AIKIDO CLUB
"The Neighborhood Aikido Club"

The Kinjo Aikido Club is an independent school of aikido that teaches the basics  or fundamentals in the tradional way. We respect and follow the teachings of O Sensei, the founder of Aikido.
The dojo was originally situated at Bo. Pag-asa, Quezon City in the summer of September, 1994. At first, to have a practice hall near his house and teach a few friends and neighbors the great art, was the reason the instructor put up this club. Surprised with the increasing number of members, the Sensei decided to move on to a bigger and better place. It was then transfered to Pitbull Gym in Project 6, Q.C., in 1995. Now, its permanent home is at Cuts and Curves Fitness Center located at the corner of Congressional and Visayas Avenues, Q.C., Philippines.

The Neighborhood Aikido Club
Aikido is simply the way of harmony through Ki, or the way of spiritual harmony . From the word itself (Ai) means harmony or coordination, (Ki) spirit or energy and (Do) the way.
Aikido is a method of self-defense which can be used against any form of attack, a discipline of coordination, a way of harmonizing all of man's vital powers. It's  goal is merely to neurtralize an aggression and render the attacker harmless without causing him any serious injury if at all possible. This is an art of assimilation and unification with nature. There is no duality. No stuggle, no opponent. There is only a harmonious action of our own spirit with the spirit of the universe. The techniques of Aikido are the bodily realization of the principle of oneness of all beings.
The present dojo (practice hall) is at the rooftop of DM Bldg., where
                         Montalban Mountains can be viewed.
