An American Tale

Once upon a time, Johnnie and Ina met. They fell in love, married, and had a dream to create one of the sweetest families in the world. They started off with "their three sons" - Dean, Don, and Dennis. (You could say the dream was in 3D)
The 3 boys, though we know what trouble they must have been in as kids, found 3 brides to set them straight. It was a happy family of 8. But that ended soon.
The eldest son, the one who is now allowed to go gray, had three children. And two of these children have a couple of children, and so on, and so on, and maybe so on again - just wait a few years Joshua!
The second son also had three children. And two of those children are continuing the original dream of Johnnie and Ina. (The third child still sees glitches in the child rearing program - but he surely knows that when young, the offspring can be "soft"ware, but as they get older they tend to wear "hard" on the parents.)
The youngest son added two children of his own. One of his children continues the dream with one here, and one on the way. Andy, being a young man, hasn't caught on to the dream yet, because he doesn't take time to sleep.

It seemed that the dream of Johnnie and Ina from decades ago was alive and well. But we all knew that something was missing. We just couldn't think of what it was. For years the family had gathered together. At the homes of Johnnie, Dean, Don, and Dennis there was a emptiness, yea, an incompleteness to the dream.

Then it came upon a midnight, clear as day, what it was that was missing..................................................................................................

The dream is never complete without a banker! Thanks Don for reminding us all about the importance of friends.
