Purpose and Objective

 

The Lake Cities Girls Softball Association, hereinafter referred to as the "LCGSA", shall create and maintain a softball program for the youth of the Lake Cities area. This organization is to instill in the youth (ages seven through eighteen) of our community, the ideas of fair play, honesty, fellowship, and Americanism, by providing a program molded to develop athletic skills and to create spirit of healthy competition, stressing teamwork and individual sacrifice. At all times, the interest of the youth, shall remain the utmost in any undertaking of the LCGSA. In no manner is this program intended to hinder or conflict with any activity of the Lake Dallas Independent School District or any other school district activity.

 

 

 

 

LCGSA Coaches’ Goals

 

The LCGSA Coaches’ goals are to teach softball skills, to promote teamwork, to have fun, to display professionalism and sportsmanship to the girls, to meet people, to foster an organization to represent our local needs, and to be competitive.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Organization

 

    1. Board of Directors
    2. The association year shall run from September 1st through August 31st of each year. The LCGSA shall be governed by a Board of Directors, hereinafter referred to as the "Board". The Board of the LCGSA shall consist of the following:

      Each member is entitled to one vote. The Board shall have the power, by a two-thirds vote of those present at any regular or special meeting, to discipline, suspend, or remove any officer or coach of the LCGSA. Such officer or coach shall have the right to defend him/herself at a regular or special meeting of the Board.

    3. General Membership
    4. General Membership is defined as any parent/guardian of a child who is a registered participant in the LCGSA, or an individual who is a current board member or coach.

    5. Election of Officers
    1. All elected members of the Board shall be elected by the general membership annually.
    2.  
    3. Scheduled Association Meeting. A special committee will prepare the ballot for the June association meeting. Time will be made available for the ballots to be cast. Ballots will be counted and new officers will be announced. Simple majority will win.
    4. Elected officers shall assume duties at the September general meeting. All books and reports shall be turned over to the newly installed officers and audited for accuracy each year.

 

    1. Term of Office

 

    1. The term of office for all officers shall be one (1) year.
    2. If for any reason the President cannot fulfill his/her term of office, the Vice President shall assume the office of President. The Vice President, then acting President shall call a special meeting of the Board at which time the Board will elect a new President. The Vice President will then resume his/her normal duties.
    3. Any elected officer, other than the President, who cannot fulfill his/her term of office, shall submit his/her resignation to the Board. The vacant position shall then be filled by the Board, for the remainder of the association year.

 

    1. Amendments to By-Laws/Rules

 

    1. This Constitution, or any section thereof, may be amended or repealed by a 2/3 vote of those present at any regular or special meeting of the Board.
    2. Playing field rules can be modified by LCGSA without notification in case of weather, make-ups, field availability, or convenience of LCGSA.

 

    1. Duties of the Board Members

 

    1. President: The President shall be the Chairman of the Board of Directors. As the Chief Administrator, he/she presides over all regular and special meetings, prepares an agenda for all regular meetings, selects all appointed positions and committees, with Board approval, and maintains the player pool. He/she shall also be responsible for registering LCGSA to become a member of the American Softball Association (ASA), making payment in full for the annual registration fees and completing and submitting official team rosters to the state office. The President is empowered to take reasonable and prudent action in cases not covered in this constitution and such authority is implicit in this office. The President shall sit on the Rules and Protests Committee and the Fund Raising Committee.
    2. Vice President: The Vice President shall be the Chairman in the absence of the President. He/she works with other officers and committee members, is an ex-officio member of all committees, including the Protest and Rules Committee, and carries out such duties and assignments as may be designated by the President.
    3.  
    4. Recording Secretary: The Recording Secretary shall record and maintain minutes of all meetings, and provide copies of those minutes to the Board for approval at the next Board meeting. He/she shall also maintain a record of all LCGSA activities, a roster of all officers, coaches, and sponsors. The Secretary will notify all Board Members of any special Board meetings.
    5. Treasurer: The Treasurer shall sign all checks, co-signed by the President or Vice President, maintain financial records and shall submit monthly reports on the status of the LCGSA funds. All disbursements greater than $100.00 must be approved by the Board. He/she shall also chair the Membership and Registration Committee. He/she shall deposit all funds within 3 days of receipt.
    6. Director of Equipment: The Director of Equipment shall be responsible for maintenance, inventory, dispensing and collecting all equipment. The Director of Equipment will purchase all equipment needed by LCGSA subject to Board approval.
    7. Director of Coaches: The Director of Coaches shall be responsible for appointing coaches, with Board approval, and working with the coaches and giving copies of schedules to Commissioners for distribution to all coaches. He/she will submit win/loss sheets and standings to the Publicity Director and oversee the official score-book. Additionally, the Director of Coaches shall be the Approving authority for coach substitutions or deletions. He/she also oversees the commissioners.
    8. Director of Fields: The Director of Fields shall be responsible for the preparation of the fields and for handling all items pertaining to field conditions, including markings and base bags. He/she shall ensure that coaches have the field lined and the items needed to begin nightly games. He/she will determine the condition of the fields in relation to the weather.
    9. Director of Umpires: The Director of Umpires chairs the Rules and Protest Committee, and oversees the scheduling of umpires. He/she deals directly with the umpires.
    10. Director of Publicity: the Director of Publicity shall handle pre-registration publicity, notification to the newspapers or scores and standings, and notification to newspapers of any LCGSA news.
    11. Director of Fundraisers: The Director of Fundraisers shall organize selected fundraisers. He/she shall schedule locations and times for the fundraisers, and maintains records and reports results to the Board. He/she shall also be responsible for scholarships and sponsorships.
    12. Commissioners: All Commissioners shall report to the Director of Coaches. The Commissioners shall also keep up with current coach/player eligibility and shall disburse game schedules to coaches.
    13. Members at Large: The Members at Large serve on committees as appointed by the President and approved by the Board.

 

    1. Meetings

 

    1. Regular Board Meetings of the LCGSA shall occur no less than once a month, generally the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.
    2.  

    3. All members of the Board will be notified by the Secretary as of the date, time, and location in the case of special called meetings to be held by the Board.
    4. The Publicity Director shall ensure that advance notice of regular meetings, including date, time and location, shall be published in the local news media.
    5. The members present at a Board meeting shall constitute a quorum.
    6. Any member missing more than two meetings will be considered for removal from the Board.

 

    1. Appointed Positions and Duties/Standing Committees

 

    1. Rules and Protests:
    1. Director of Rules and Umpires is Chairman of this committee.
    2. President sits on the committee.
    3. Consists of at least three other members.
    4. Evaluates rule changes and suggestions.
    5. Presents suggestions to the Board.
    6. Receives written protests.
    7. Selects time for hearing and voting on protests.
    8. Vice President is an ex-officio member.

 

    1. Memberships and Registrations:
    1. Treasurer is Chairman of the committee.
    2. Consists of a least two other members.
    3. Finds location and sets times for registration.
    4. Inform Publicity Chairman as to dates and place of registration.
    5. Comprises phone call list.
    6. Collects membership fees.
    7. Vice President is an ex-officio member.
    1. Team Pictures:
    1. President appoints Chairman of this committee.
    2. Recommends uniform supplier to the Board for approval.
    3. Orders uniforms

 

    1. Uniforms:
    1. President appoints Chairman of this committee.
    2. Recommends uniform supplier to the Board for approval.
    3. Orders uniforms for all leagues.
    4. Works with commissioners to handle distribution of uniforms.
    5. Vice President is an ex-officio member.

 

 

    1. Scholarships:
    1. President appoints Chairman of this committee.
    2. Submits applications to the LCGSA.
    3. Collects all applications.
    4. Submits anonymous application letters to the Board for approval.
    5. Vice President is an ex-officio member.

 

    1. Nominations:
    1. President appoints Chairman of this committee.
    2. Accepts nominations and ensures candidates will accept.
    3. Creates ballot of candidates.
    4. Oversees the casting of votes during the end of season tournament.
    5. Counts votes and advises current President of results.

 

    1. Team Scorekeeper

 

    1. Coaches, at their discretion, may select a team scorekeeper to keep a score-book to be used solely for the purpose of helping the team. The team scorekeeper may help their coaches with such items as pitching eligibility, player participation, and batting order. The scorebook kept by the home team scorekeeper will be counted as the official scorebook unless, an official scorekeeper is designated by the league.

 

    1. In no case is the team scorekeeper allowed to call time-out or initiate a conference with the umpires.
    2. Should a conflict occur between the team score book and the official score book, the official score book will be deemed correct.
    3. At the end of the game, the home team coach should have the score book signed by the opposing coach assuring accuracy.
    1. Coaches

 

If a Head Coach does not wish to take their existing Team for the 2nd/following year, and Assistant Coach or parent/relative may take the existing players and coach the team in order to keep the players together. However, two teams may not merge under one coach.

    1. All Coaches will be appointed by the Director of Coaches, subject to Board approval.
    2. Coaches will choose their Assistant coaches with the concurrence of the Board.
    3. ALL COACHES MUST ATTEND THE COACHES MEETING AND THE COACHES CLINIC.
    4. ANY COACH THAT DOES NOT ABIDE BY THE PLAYER PARTICIPATION RULE COULD BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION BY THE LCGSA BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
    5.  
    6. Any coach exercising the parent/child option must actively participate in coaching their team during games.
    7. No coach will be permitted to participate as Head Coach for more than one team at the same time, unless approved by the Board.
    8. Substitutions or deletions of Head Coaches from a team shall be reported immediately to the Director of Coaches, who in turn will act to get a replacement.
    9. Head Coaches for the home team are responsible for turning in the scores of each game to the Director of Coaches within 7 days.
    10. HEAD COACHES WILL SIGN A COACHING CONTRACT. (see attachment 1.)

 

 

    1. Team Coordinator

 

Every Head Coach is responsible for selecting a Team Coordinator to handle:

    1. Fund Raising
    2. Telephoning
    3. Team Pictures
    4. Assigning concession stand duty
    5. Assist the Head Coach in any other capacity the coach deems necessary.

 

  1. LEAGUE SCHEDULE

 

    1. Playing a minimum of 12 official league games per team shall constitute a complete league schedule.
    2. The Director of Scheduling shall prepare a schedule of games for the regular season. After Board approval, the Director of Scheduling will distribute regular season schedules to all Coaches, no later than 2 weeks before the start of regular season play.
    3. The schedule shall be arranged so that no team will be permitted to play more than two games per calendar week except for the playing of postponed, make-up or suspended games.
    4. Regular season games should be scheduled around community activities, band concerts, school graduation, etc., which involve a large number of players from any or all leagues. If a conflict occurs, and cancellation is necessary said cancellation must be reported to the Director of Scheduling no later than 72 hours before the scheduled game time. These games will be treated as rainouts and will be rescheduled accordingly.
    5. This note shall be included on all schedules: "the first team listed is Home team and shall occupy the first base side of the field."
    6. No games will be played on Sunday.

 

 

  1. POSTPONED, RAIN-OUT, AND SUSPENDED GAMES

 

It shall be the responsibility of the Director of Scheduling to see that all postponed, rainout; make up and suspended games are rescheduled and played. All such games must be played during the regular season of play and before the end of the official league season.

    1. A postponed and/or make up game is defined as one that is rescheduled to be played in its entirety later.
    2. A rained out game is defined as a rescheduled game under the following conditions:

 

    1. 8 & under age group – less than three complete innings have been played; all other age groups – less than four complete innings have been played.

 

    1. A suspended game is defined as one that is rescheduled to be continued in play from the exact point of suspension of the original game.

 

  1. SELECTION OF PLAYERS AND DRAFT SYSTEM

 

    1. The "League Age" is determined by ASA Rules. The rules states: the player’s age on January 1st of the current year determines the age classification in which the player is eligible to participate.
    2. 8 & Under

 

    1. Table draft will be conducted in a team sequential order announced by the Director of Coaches.
    2. Applications are presented face up on the table.
    3. The Head coach of each team selects his/her players.
    4. The team with fewest players drafts first.
    5. Sisters who prefer to be on the same team count as two (or more) picks in a row. The team that picks the sisters misses the next turn(s).
    6. Trades are permissible within 30 minutes after the draft is complete with the concurrence of the Board President or vice President. No trades will be permitted after leaving the draft.
    7. No player evaluations are performed.
    8. Returning players play on the same team unless they desire a new coach. This option must be taken at the time of registration and players will be re-entered into the draft.
    9. They will not be permitted to pick their team.

    10. Head coaches may not skip(pass) draft rounds once they have started drafting.
    11. It is the intent of the league to have the same number of players on each team.

 

    1.  
    2. 10 & Under

 

    1. Table draft will be conducted in a team sequential order announced by the Director of Coaches.
    2. Applications are presented face down (blind) on the table.
    3. The Head Coach of each team selects his/her players.
    4. The team with the fewest players drafts first in each round, until all teams have the same number of players, at which time the team that has not yet drafter a player, then gets his/her first draft pick.
    5. Sisters who prefer to be on the same team count as two (or more) draft picks in a row. The team that picks the sisters misses the next turn(s).
    6. Trades are permissible within 30 minutes after the draft is complete with the concurrence of the Board President or Vice President. No trades will be permitted after leaving the draft.

    11. Head Coaches may not skip(pass) draft rounds once they start drafting.
    12. The children of Head coaches and up to two assistant coaches constitutes the first draft picks up to a maximum of three.
    13. It is the intent of the league to have the same number of players on each team.

 

    1. 12 & Under & 14 & Under

 

    1. Player evaluations will be held and announced at the time of registration.
    2. The player draft will be held immediately after the evaluation, head coaches and (1) assistant coach may participate.
    3. The Head coach of each team selects his/her players.
    4. The team with the fewest players drafts first in each round, until all teams have the same number of players, at which time the team that has not yet drafted a player, then gets his/her first draft pick. In case of ties, a coin toss will be used as a tiebreaker.
    5. Sisters who prefer to be on the same team count as two (or more) draft picks in a row. The team that picks the sisters misses the next turn(s).
    6. Trades are permissible within 30 minutes after the draft is complete with the concurrence of the Board President or Vice President. No trades will be permitted after leaving the draft.
    7.  
    8. Returning players stay with the same age group team and do not participate in the draft. If the coach moves to another age group, the team is dissolved, unless a parent or assistant coach from the prior year wants to keep the same age group team with the returning players.
    9. If returning players want a new team, they must announce this at the time of registration and they will be reentered into the draft. They will not be permitted to pick their team.
    10. Individual managers may not skip (pass) draft rounds once they start drafting.
    11. The children of head coaches and up to two assistant coaches constitute the first draft picks up to a maximum of three.
    12. It is the intent of the league to have the same number of players on each.
    13. Players who do not attend the draft are placed in the player pool.

 

  1. PLAYER POOL

 

    1. The President will maintain the player pool.
    2. Any player that submits their application after the evaluation.
    3. Any player that does not participate in the evaluations.
    4. It is the intent of the LCGSA to allow all youth the opportunity to participate in the League. If a player needs financial assistance in order to play, a player scholarship may be awarded. Proof of such need must be submitted to the Board for approval (i.e. reduced school lunch program voucher, unemployment check stub, etc.)
    5. Any player in the player pool will be assigned to teams with the fewest players in sequential order.

 

VI. PLAYER AGREEMENTS

 

    1. All players and their parents (or guardians) shall be required to sign the registration form before participation in any ASA activity. Agreeing to abide by all ASA and local rules and regulations and releasing the local league affiliate and its officers, all sponsors, and the ASA organizations from any and all liabilities associated with any injuries sustained as a result of any ASA activity.
    2. Players must provide the league with an official copy of their birth certificate.
    3. If players wish to play on two separate LCGSA teams (i.e., different age groups) they will be required to pay required registration fees for each team. This covers team uniform, insurance, etc.

 

 

VII. PLAYER TRADES/RELEASES

    1. If during the current season a coach loses one of the players on the roster through illness, injury, change of address, or other justifiable reason, another player may be obtained through Board approval. The playing ability of the player is not a justifiable reason. Such replacement must be eligible in accordance with all other ASA and local league rules. "Player Selection & Draft System" and "Player Pool" rules will be followed.

 

    1. Coach will acquaint Board with the conditions, which necessitate the replacement.
    2. If the Board agrees that the reasons are justifiable, a new player may be assigned in accordance with previously mentioned rules.
    3. A coach may not drop a player without the Board’s concurrence.

 

    1. A coach may request the release of a player for any justifiable reason between the conclusion of one season and the final scheduled registration date. In the event that a player is released, the Board shall notify the player in writing. Such written notice of release shall be given in sufficient time for the player to qualify for the evaluation and selection by another team. The Board must approve all.

 

  1. IILLEGAL PLAYERS AND PENALTY

 

    1. Players must be declared illegal for the following reasons:

 

    1. Illegal player trades during the season.
    2. Misrepresentation of playing age.

 

PENALTY: All games in which there is illegal player participation shall be forfeited.

    1. It is the responsibility of the head coach of each team to make sure that he/she does not sign or play an illegal player during the season, or in tournament play.
    2. PENALTY: Up to a two-year suspension of the Coach from participating in LCGSA activity.

    3. In the event a Coach believes or knows of an opposing team playing an illegal player; the (Head Coach) may make protest.

 

 

IX. PROTESTS AND DISPUTES

 

    1. The Rules and Protest Committee shall settle all protests and disputes arising during the regular season of League Play. The committee’s ruling shall be considered final.
    2. A protest which may arise from interpretation of playing rules, will be made by notifying the Head Umpire and the Coach of the opposing team, at the time of occurrence, that the game is being played under protest. Then by submission of protest as follows.
    3. There will not be any protest heard on rules that are considered to be at the discretion of each umpire (i.e., strike zone, safe or outs called on bases).
    4. RULES TO FILE PROTESTS AND PENALTIES

 

    1. The Head Coach must contact a LCGSA Board member within 48 hours.
    2. The official protest must be submitted in writing within 7 days after the termination of the game in question, to a LCGSA Board member.
    3. Cash must accompany it or check for $25.00 made to the LCGSA.
    4. The Board member who receives the written protest must acknowledge it with his/her signature, date and time received.
    5. If the protest is upheld the Head Coach will be refunded the $25.00.
    6. The game will be declared a forfeit by the offending team.
    7. Any game played in which both Head Coaches have logged an official protest, and both protests have been allowed, the game in question will be thrown out. The game will not be replayed, but will be recorded as a loss of one game to each teams final standing.

 

X. UMPIRES FOR LEAGUE PLAY

 

    1. An official umpire is defined as one that is approved and appointed by the Umpires Association.
    2. There shall be at least one umpire working each game. Two umpires are to be scheduled for age groups 10 UNDER and above.

 

XI. CONCESSIONS

 

Home team coaches are responsible for having a person working the concession stand during his/her games. If the coach does not have the concession stand covered during any game, the team will forfeit that game.

 

  1. EQUIPMENT

 

    1. Team shirts will be furnished by the League for the Recreation team players. They must be worn to all games.
    2. Balls, bats, helmets, and catcher’s gear will be furnished by the League for RECREATION teams and games only.

 

    1. Catchers must wear protective gear during practice or games when catching for a pitcher.
    2. The batter and base runners during games and practices must wear batting helmets.
    3. No one other than registered players, coaches, and umpires are allowed on the field at any time during a game or scheduled practice.
    1. Head coaches are responsible for turning in all League furnished equipment at the scheduled date and time. The deposit will be returned in full within seven days of the Board receiving the equipment.
    2. Head coaches will be required to sign an equipment contract with the LCGSA.

 

  1. RULES OF CONDUCT

 

    1. Any player or coach will be subject to ejection from a game if he/she makes derogatory remarks, or any type of obscene or abusive language directed toward any umpire, coach, Board Member or other player on the field.
    2. If any fan does any of the above, they will also be ejected from the park.
    3. It is the responsibility of the Head Coach to report any of these violations to the Board.

 

  1. MISCELLANEOUS

 

    1. Concessions. Team drinks are limited to the official playing team and coaches. Only apply to LCGSA players and Coaches and only at the LCGSA playing fields.
    2. Field Maintenance: Coaches are responsible for removing any trash, equipment, etc. on their side of the field, including the dugout after each game.
    3. Awards:
    4. Trophies/Awards will be presented at the end of the softball season at the schedule date and time to each player.

       

    5. Complaints:

Any charges, accusations, or complaints made against any Coach, Umpire, LCGSA member shall be limited to matters concerning the LCGSA. Said complaints must be written, signed, and dated as any other complaint or protest, as written in LCGSA by-laws.

LOCAL PLAYING RULES FOR LAKE CITIES GIRLS

SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION 1999 SEASON

8 UNDER

    1. 11-inch safety ball will be used.
    2. Tight bases.
    3. Base path is 60 ft.
    4. Pitching distance is 30 ft.
    5. No infield- fly rule.
    6. Game length is 60 minutes.
    7. Limit of 5 runs per half inning.
    8. Nine players on the field.
    9. Players playing first base and/or pitcher can only play one inning in each position per game during machine pitch. During kid pitch, the pitcher can remain in that position.
    10. Play is dead after first overthrow. The runner gets the base she is running to and one more base if the runner is more than half way to that base, Defensive coaches may stand within three feet of both dugout openings.
    11. No bunting.
    12. Season will be divided into two halves. The first half of the season will be machine pitch. The second half of the season will be kid pitch. Based on a 12 game season, 6 will be machine pitch and 6 will be kid pitch. If a tournament is to be played at the end of the season, the format will be kid pitch.
    13. During machine pitch, the set speed will be suitable for 8 & under girls to play. The setting shall stay the same during any one game for both teams. The player’s safety is the highest priority when the game is in play.
    14. A power outage or machine failure will not cancel the game. The game will then become coach pitch. The coaches of each team will pitch to his/her own team.
    15. Strike zone will be called per ASA rules at the umpire’s discretion.
    16. All players in the line up will bat.

THE FOLLOWING IS A CHANGE THAT AFFECTS ALL AGE GROUPS PLAYING IN LCGSA.

 

    1. A team must have a minimum of eight players to start and/or continue a game. A minimum of six team roster players at game time. If a team plays a game with eight players, the vacant position must be in the ninth position in the batting order and is automatically out. If the ninth player arrives after the game starts, the player may enter in the game defensively, but the batter cannot bat until, the vacant position has been called out.
    2. If a team has less than nine roster players at game time, that team may use up to three guest players for league games. Guest players must be LCGSA registered players or any association the LCGSA is playing. Guest players can only play outfield positions defensively and must bat at the bottom of the batting order.     1. 11-inch ball will be used in league play.
    2. Drop third strike not in effect.
    3. Stealing bases is allowed.
    4. Cannot steal home.
    5. No infield fly rule.
    6. Pitching distance is 35 ft.
    7. Base path is 60 ft.
    8. Limit of 5 runs per half inning.
    9. Game length is 60 minutes.
    10. Bunting is allowed.

 

THE FOLLOWING IS A CHANGE THAT AFFECTS ALL AGE GROUPS PLAYING IN LCGSA.

    1. A team must have a minimum of eight players to start and/or continue a game. A minimum of six team roster players at game time. If a team plays a game with eight players, the vacant position must be in the ninth position in the batting order and is automatically out. If the ninth player arrives after the game starts, the player may enter in the game defensively, but the batter cannot bat until; the vacant position has been called out.

LAKE CITIES GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION

COACHING CONTRACT

 

This agreement made this ___ of ________, between the Lake Cities Girls Softball Association,

Hereinafter called the LCGSA, and _________________________, hereinafter called COACH;

 

WHEREAS: LCGSA sponsors a youth softball program for girls in the Lake Cities area of Denton County, Texas;

WHEREAS: LCGSA needs coaches to provide said program to the girls of the Lake Cities area and;

WHEREAS: COACH is interested in a coaching staff position with LCGSA and;

WHEREAS: Both parties wish to set forth herein the terms and conditions under which LCGSA will assign a

COACH to a coaching position:

 

NOW THEREFORE IT IS MUTUALLY AGREE TO AS FOLLOWS:

 

LCGSA will assign COACH to head coach or assistant coach position for the ________________softball season.

In consideration of this agreement, COACH agrees to the following:

 

  1. To become, at COACH’S expense, a certified coach by the National Youth Sports Association.
  2. To always be supportive of LCGSA goals and mission statement.
  3. To put the welfare, both emotional and physical, of the child above all else.
  4. To communicate with parents at all times.
  5. Not to verbally or physically abuse any child.
  6. To always insure that the equipment that players are using is safe and in good condition.
  7. To abide by all bylaws, rules, policy and procedures of LCGSA.
  8. No use of tobacco in any form during practice or during games.
  9. To attend at least 90% of all practices and 100% of all games unless physically unable or be reason of job, acts of God, death in the
  10. family, or other reasons approved by the Board.

  11. To refrain from the use of alcohol at times just prior to, during, or just after in the immediate proximity of any LCGSA official
  12. function when the children are present.

  13. To see that participants all wear the official LCGSA uniform in all games.
  14. To always stress the fundamentals of softball and to participate in all LCGSA coaching seminars and educational programs.

 

Is further understood and agreed that any violation of the terms and conditions of this contract by the COACH may result in an immediate

suspension of the COACH until a full hearing of the LCGSA Board can be convened to take further action. The officers of the

Board and the individual’s league Commissioner will be the only officials authorized to make such a suspension. In the event a COACH

is suspended for the balance of the season or longer, this contract will automatically terminate with said suspension.

 

This contract can be cancelled on 24 hours notice by the LCGSA and on seven (7) days notice by COACH. This agreement takes effect

the date hereof and will terminate on ___________________ (date).
