Educational Background and Experience
Brigham Young University - College of Engineering and Technology
This is a picture of the research project that my engineering thesis is based on.
Bachelor of Science Degree - Civil Engineering, Cum Laude
Master of Science Degree - Civil Engineering
I wrote a 61 page thesis titled, "Behavior of Diaphragms Sheathed with Fiber Reinforced Polymer Panels." This was a first-of-kind project designed to research the possibility of repairing damaged plywood sheathed roof structures with fiberglass panels. I built a 24' x 12' simulation of a flat roof structure and then applied a cyclical load intended to simulate seismic forces. After the roof structure failed, I removed the four corner plywood panels and replaced them with fiberglass panels. The structure was then retested under the same type of cyclical loading. The repaired structure was found to be up to 35% stronger than the original new structure.
Brigham Young University - Marriott School of Business
Master of Business Administration
As an MBA student, my goal has been to add to my technical knowledge and background with a well-rounded, fundamental knowledge of business administration. My course work emphasizes marketing and supply chain management, but has also had some exposure to principles of finance. Classes I have taken during the past year include: marketing management, pricing and positioning tools, internet marketing, operations management, supply chain management, corporate finance, and managerial finance.
