Sugar Creek Raceway began as a 1/2 mile dirt track from 1968 to 1971. It reopened as a 1/3 mile dirt oval from 1985 to the present.

The grandstands were simple. Refreshments offered included jalapeno peppers.

Sugar Creek which is located abut 100 miles north of Atlanta offers relatively dust free competitive dirt track racing.
