The Kartville #55 driven by Johnny Beaucamp was one of the fastest cars ever to race at Peoria Speedway. Johnny Beaucamp was also famous for being in the photo finish with Lee Petty in the first ever Daytona 500. Three days after the race was over he was placed second. The "new" Peoria Speedway began 7/21/65.
