If you've never taken a Referee's exam
then you may wonder what SRD is all about. SRD stands for
"State Referee's Decision", and it is one of two types
of questions on hockey officials' exams (the other is multiple
choice -- much easier!). SRD means that an essay style answer is
required. Naturally most Referee's hate SRD's, and likewise, most
people marking the exams don't like SRD's much either.
Take a stab at this week's question. Sometimes you will need some
pretty deep knowledge of the rulebook, other times it will SEEM
easy....
