WHO'S HOT?

(1st)Ron Francis: Francis continues to amaze me year after year. He plays as though he is ten years younger and is able to put up the points consistently. He is a great team leader and is off to an excellent start this season. I still think he is the most under-rated player in the league.
(2nd)Rob Brown: What a story! Rob Brown is back and playing extremely well! I think he is the surprise player on the team so far this season. He is contributing at a steady pace and has added some skill to the offense which is still without Nedved.
(3rd)Tom Barrasso: I never expected to see this name on the "Who's Hot" list ever again! I didn't even expect him ever to start another game for the Pens ( I didn't want him to either). But he has returned to the NHL in great shape and is playing very well. He looks confident and capable of being the number one goalie. I hope he keeps it up.
(3rd)Jaromir Jagr: Jagr is off to another good start. He is amungst the leading scorers in the league and is continuing his high level of play. He is, however, still trying to get himself in top physical form after the off season.

WHO'S COLD?

Francois Leroux: This guy is still not good enough but he is playing a lot better. He's slow, he doesn't think, and he is unreliable. Lately, he has received more ice time and is playing physically. He's not afraid to drop the gloves either.
Dave Roche: Roche is really having problems getting on the scoreboard. He has not contributed on offense. I think it would be good for him to spend some time in the minors. Maybe the Pens should think about bringing up Brad Lauer to replace him for a while.
Glen Murray: Murray is not contributing. He needs to improve his play in all areas.
