100th and 104th running of the Boston Marathon

This is my third Boston Marathon and what an adventure, it's a once in a life time experience and I have been lucky enough to run it three times now. For those of you who have run the Boston Marathon know what I mean, it's something you will never forget. These next pictures are of our running group called SOS (Seekers of Suffering) in Boston of 2000.

Here is a picture of Mark Bennett and I at the finish line a couple of days before the race.

Here I am with Sheryl and our friend Jeff who I had met 5 years ago via the internet but this is our first face to face to meeting.

Here we are getting ready to go to the pasta party the night before the marathon. That is Mark, myself, Tanya, Denise and Sheryl. The little guy in front is Denise's son Spencer.

Here is Tanya at the finish line in Boston the day before the race.

Enjoying dinner in Boston

Here are Mark and Sheryl at the athletes village in Hopkinton on race morning. It is a very cold day for the race. This is their first Boston Marathon.

This is Tanya and Denise at the athletes village. This is Tanya's second Boston Marathon and Denise's first.

Here we are celebrating after finishing the marathon. On the left is Andy, another cyber friend and meeting for the first time in Boston. Then me, Tanya, Jeff and Mark and Sheryl in front.

No trip to Boston would be complete if you didn't stop at the Bull and Fitch Club better known as "Cheers". Here we are outside acting like complete tourist.

1996 running of the 100th Boston Marathon

Here's a picture of us at the pasta party before the 1996 Boston marathon.

Below are pictures of Quenton and me at the athletes village

Here is Tanya and I also taken at the athletes village

These next pictures are of Quenton and I at Wellsley College. This part of the race is crazy with all the women screaming at you as you run by so we just had to stop and have our pictures taken with them

Here's a picture of Quenton and I reaching the 25 mile marker. Even after 25 miles we were still smiling. Of course our arms were killing us from high fiving everyone along the course. We were even still talking to each other after 25 miles.

Here's Quenton and I with only 1 mile to go to the finish. People along the course thought we were crazy to stop here and have our pictures taken.

Here's Quenton at the finish of the Boston Marathon, of course I'm the one taking the picture so you don't get to see me in all my glory. I won't tell you what the guy called me for stopping in front of him this close to the finish and taking this picture of Quenton. But what the heck you only finish the 100th Boston Marathon once.

Here's a picture of me at a local race here in San Diego, its not Boston but I have my Boston jacket on!! Oh yeah I did win my division that day thank you very much.

Can anyone explain why Quenton is coming out of this porta potty with these two women??
