Yes, fencing is practiced as a sport in Ireland.
And no, It does involve a group of farmers trying to keep their sheep in
their pens.
Nor, does it invlove some seedy Dublin underworld gangster, who sells
off his mate's stolen goods.
Although not nearly as popular as it would be in other european countries the sport of fencing (with foils, epees and sabres) does have it's following in Ireland, along with a fair share of competitions during the fencing season.
