WHEATIES BOX DISPLAYS

by John Johnson

Here is some information on the Wheaties box displays. They are made of oak, with plexiglass fronts and backs, in various sizes to accommodate the 3 basic sizes of Wheaties boxes, but also to hold multiple boxes. This is particularly useful when there are a series of Wheaties boxes, such as the Olympics or Dale Earnhardt boxes, allowing all of the boxes to be in the same display. The multiple box display can also be used to hold similar Wheaties boxes, but from different years, like the Super Bowl Champs, or World Series Champs, etc.

John has decided to make these displays available to other Wheaties collectors. He is selling them, see table below, or will trade for older Wheaties boxes.

From what I have been able to find on the web, these displays are less expensive than the all acrylic boxes, and I believe look very attractive. They allow us to display our boxes, while at the same time, protecting them so they don't get creased or crushed. Each finished display will be stained, with polyurethane varnish applied. The displays assemble and disassemble easily without tools and are very sturdy.
