02/09/98Arizona Diamondbacks boxes are out in flats. They are series #16. Boxes have not hit shelves yet.

01/19/98Here to pass along some information to you and other fellow collectors. Got some new news on some ERROR boxes:

#1. On the Amy Van Dyken olympic box the word "Speedo" appears above the U in USA on her swimsuit on front of box. The box was later replaced with the word "Speedo" missing.

#2. On the Dan O' Brien olympic box at the bottom there is a excerpt about him competing in the Pan Am Games. Dan didn't play in the Pan Am Games. Later the box was corrected and the whole except was taken out.

I would like to here what boxes all you other collectors have. Give me an e-mail and tell me which ones you have. I will later post a talley of what most people have, to find out which one is the hard one to find. Please let me know which ones you have?

10/10/97 I was just told from a General Mills employee that there is plans for a Franco Harris "Immaculate Reception" box due out at the end of the year. She didn't give me word whether it was regional or national, just that it will be out at the end of the year. My guess is regional, but we will just have to wait and see. I will let you know if any new news about this box comes to me.

10/10/97Just got news that a new regional wheaties box is due out. The box is called the "Miami Project". There was only a small amount of these boxes made, and they are only available in the Miami area.

08/25/97NEW! Tom Osbourne wheaties have been spotted in the Nebraska area. They are big ones 24 oz, and were only sold in the Nebraska area.

8/23/97Some information just recently came up that I had not heard of before. You all know of the Fottball Replays boxes general mills had released some time ago. Appareantly the Marcus Allen Replay box had both an error and a correction box. The mistake made was that some had it as Superbowl XV111, and some as XXV111. I have the XV111, and wanted to know what the other collectors have. Please let me know, which box(es) do you have.

8/9/97Just got back an e-mail from General Mills regarding the rumors/possibility of a new wheaties box featuring the new NFL expansion team the Tennesse Oilers. This is what the dissapointing e-mail said. "We are sorry to disappoint you, but we will not be putting this NFL team on our cereal boxes. We just do not have enough time or packages ready to attempt to do this".

06/30/97Team Cherrios has new boxes out featuring more sensational high school team. The boxes features Cental Valley Mercury Soccer (girl's soccer team), and Lagolla California Nomads Soccer. The boxes are not due out in the grochery stores till July 28, 1997. But keep on searching. I found a Central Valley Mercury Soccer box more than a month before suspected arrvial.

06/23/97General Mills has confirmed there will not be a Tiger Woods box issued.

06/22/97General Mills has confirmed there will be no 97' Chicgo Bulls Championship Box. Still waiting to hear about the 97' Detriot Redwings Championship box. I have a gut feeling there will be one. I'll keep everyone informed if I hear anything.

Grand Rapids- For the 5th consecutive year, Spartan Stores, Inc. has partnered with General Mills to feature a Michigan Special Olympics athlete on a special edition Wheaties box. This year's box features Special Olympic athlete Jennifer Finzel of Midland, Michigan. Active with Michigan S.O. for 20 years, Finzel, 28, trains and competes in swimming, diving, soccer, softball, bowling, track and field, cross-country skiiing, snow shoeing and basketball. As a swimmer in the 1995 SO World Summer Games in New Haven, CT, wh won two gold medals and two silver medals. The cereal boxes can be found on the shelves of participating Spartan stores during April and May.
