Flying Deuces Courses on Googol Maps

Here's a Googol Maps link to a private map of the parks where the Flying Deuces disc golf courses are located. The Googol balloon marks the spot where one would park their car to play the course.

Below are the original course descriptions, but now the Park name is a clickable link which will take you to an enlarged satellite view of the park in Googol Maps. Enjoy!

From I-280, take the Saratoga Avenue exit and head north off the exit. Get in the left lane and make a left at the first light onto Kiely Boulevard. Kiely bends around and heads north. Continue through a few lights until you cross Homestead Avenue. Kiely Park will be on your right, across from the Kaiser Hospital.

From Highway 101 or 237, take the Bowers Avenue exit heading south. When Bowers crosses El Camino Real, it changes names to Kiely Boulevard. Just after Benton Avenue the park will be on your left.

Coyote Creek - The new Mach III Pole Hole course at Hellyer Park, south of San Jose. Hilly, undeveloped terrain.

From Highway 101, exit at Hellyer Avenue and go east of the freeway. Park along road above course.

Cuesta Park - Mountain View, off Cuesta Drive. a grassy park with small man made hills.

Highway 237 ends and becomes Grant Road in Mountain View. Go past El Camino Real and turn right onto Cuesta Drive.

From I-280, take Homestead (?) exit, turn left and proceed to Grant road. Turn right and go about 2 miles to Cuesta Drive where you turn left.

First Course meets at the east parking lot close to Grant Road. Second course meets at the west parking lot away from Grant Road.

Delaveaga Disc Golf Course - Santa Cruz, near Delaveaga ball golf course. a rough, hilly park with 27 pole holes, dirt tee pads with benches.

Take Highway 17 south from Los Gatos, 20 miles to Santa Cruz. Head south on Highway 1 for 1.1 miles to the Morrissey Boulevard exit. Turn right on Fairmont. After a half mile, turn right on North Branciforte. Go one quarter mile and turn right on Delaveaga Park Drive. In one tenth mile turn left onto Upper Park Road. Drive for a mile through the ball golf course, coming to parking lot for the disc golf course.

Evergreen Park - San Jose, Evergreen Valley area, off San Felipe Road near Yerba Buena Road, grassy with small hills, some rough, undeveloped terrain.

From Highway 101, take the Capital Expressway exit and head north. Turn right onto Silver Creek Road and continue to Yerba Buena. Turn left onto Yerba Buena Road and follow it over the hills. Turn right at San Felipe Road and the park will be on your immediate left. Park near the community center building in the park.

Foothill College campus - Los Altos, Hilly natural terrain, winding through campus buildings. Mostly natural terrain, some grass, no water.

From I-280 North take the El Monte exit. Follow cloverleaf exit ramp back under the freeway. Bear right into the entrance of the campus. Circular road around campus is one-way, traveling in a counter clockwise direction. Half way around the loop on the far side of the campus is a parking lot near the planetarium. Both courses start here.

Jeffrey Fontana (formerly Golden Oak) Park - San Jose, Almaden Valley area, on Golden Oak Way near McAbee. This is a strip park located under triple high tension wires. It is a power line strip park. It's a narrow park, located under some high voltage power lines that goes on for several blocks. It is actually adjacent to Oak Grove park, the wooded glen park in Almaden Valley.

From Highway 85, take Almaden Expressway South. Just past Coleman Road, at the Winfield-McAbee intersection, turn right onto McAbee. About a quarter mile, just past Thorntree, you will pass under the power lines. Turn right on Golden Oak, the next street that borders the park and park a short ways up. We meet at a low, square, raised concrete structure, near the playground.

John D Morgan Park - Campbell, Rincon near Dot Avenue, flat and grassy.

From Highway 17 heading south, take the Camden Avenue/San Tomas exit. Turn right onto San Tomas Expressway, heading north. First stoplight will be Budd Avenue and the south end of the park. Continue on San Tomas Expressway, alongside the park, to Campbell Avenue, then turn right. (Watch for signs to park also.) Take first right onto Dot Avenue to Rincom. Turn right there and take first left into parking lot for JD Morgan.

Kelley Park - San Jose, off Senter Road near Keyes St / Story Road, mostly flat and grassy, some asphalt.

From Highway 101, just south of the I-280 / I-680 interchange, take the Story Road exit. Turn left onto Senter Road. Turn left into the first entrance into the park. Park in the area near the Happy Hollow Zoo.

From I-280, take the 7th Avenue exit, turn right on one of the one-way streets. Go to Keyes Street and turn left. Turn right onto Senter Road. Turn left into the first entrance into the park. Park in the area near the Happy Hollow Zoo.

La Colina Park - San Jose, off Valroy Drive. A somewhat hilly and undeveloped park, with some flat grass areas. The hilly part is often dirt clods, akin to a tilled field, with somewhat uneven footing.

If you're coming from Highway 101 traveling south, take the Blossom Hill exit (next one south from Hellyer/Coyote Creek) and watch for signs that get you onto Cottle Road. It's a clover leaf style turn.

If you're coming via Highway 85, take the Cottle Road exit and head south from the exit. After passing Santa Teresa Avenue, look to turn right onto Los Pincos Way. This will take you by the park. Turn right onto Valroy Drive. We meet near John Davis' house which is at 6270 Valroy. Parking is available on Valroy Court across from John's house.

Lakewood Park - Sunnyvale, Lakechime Drive, north of Highway 101 off Lawrence Expressway between Highway 101 and 237. Flat, grassy park, sometimes windy from the SF Bay.

From Highway 101 or 237, turn onto Lawrence Expressway (towards the other road). About halfway between the two freeways, there a traffic signal at LakeHaven.Turn West onto LakeHaven. At the first stop sign, turn right (North) onto SilverLake.As you drive alongside the park, turn left onto Lakechime drive and head into the parking lot, where we start.

Linda Vista Park - Cupertino, off Linda Vista Drive. A hilly park in the foothills, rough natural terrain with some grassy meadows.

From I-280, take the Stevens Creek Boulevard exit and turn west. Turn left onto Bubb road. After McClellan, turn right on Hyannisport. Follow this to Linda Vista and turn left. The park is at a bend in the road. Park on the street and walk into park, as the gates are not usually open early in the morning.

Maywood Park - Santa Clara, on Pruneridge near Pomeroy, two courses, both start near the main parking lot. Flat and grassy with some asphalt.

From I-280, take the Lawrence Expressway exit north. Stay to the right and make a right turn onto Pruneridge Avenue. Just past the stop light at Pomeroy is Maywood park on the right. Best parking is on the street, because the first hole goes over the parking lot next to the tennis court.

Memorial Park - Cupertino, off Mary Avenue, near Stevens Creek Boulevard, flat and grassy, with lakes and ponds coming into play.

From I-280, take the Highway 85 exit south, then immediately take the Stevens Creek Boulevard exit and turn east. Turn left onto Mary Avenue and then right into park.

Oak Grove Park - San Jose, Almaden Valley area, a wooded and hilly park with mostly trees as targets. (Sadly, this park is no longer played. The Park Ranger says that walking is only permitted on the marked trails)

From Highway 85, take Almaden Expressway South. Just past Coleman Road, at the Winfield-McAbee intersection, turn right onto McAbee. About a quarter mile, turn onto Thorntree and follow road about 1/2 mile to park entrance, where there is a small parking lot.

Oak Meadow Park - Los Gatos, small park (adjacent to Vasona), off University, near Blossom Hill Road, mostly grassy with small hills. We actually cross over the creek and play some part of the course in Vasona Park.

There is a small parking lot, just north of the Blossom Hill intersection, on University across from the park where we meet. Use the same directions that you use to get to Vasona. From Highway 17 South, take the Lark Avenue exit. Go right onto Lark, then left onto University for a scenic drive past Vasona Lake. The parking lot will be on your right, just before the traffic signal.

Rengstorff Park - Mountain View, off Rengstorff Avenue, between El Camino Real and Highway 101, near Central Expressway, flat and grassy.

From Highway 101, or El Camino Real or Central Expressway, take Rengstorff Avenue to the park. Meet in the main parking lot near the park building.

Serra Park - Sunnyvale, on Hollenbeck near Homestead, flat and grassy.

From I-280, take the De Anza Boulevard exit and head north. Just north of the exit, turn left onto Homestead Avenue. Proceed about 1.5 miles then turn right onto Hollenbeck. Just past the shopping center and dental center, Serra Park will be on the left. Turn into the main parking lot.

Vasona Park - Los Gatos, Off Blossom Hill Road, a flat, grassy park with some water hazards.

From Highway 17 South, take the Lark Avenue exit. Go right onto Lark, then left onto University for a scenic drive past Vasona Lake. At Blossom Hill Road, turn left and go down a small hill. Just before a small bridge, there is a small medical center with a parking lot where we meet and walk into the park, as the main gates are usually not open at this time of morning.

West Valley College campus - Saratoga, off Fruitvale near Allendale. Mostly grassy terrain, small hills, winding through campus buildings. Poison oak is present.

From Highway 85, get off at the Saratoga Avenue exit and head south. A couple of traffic lights down, turn left onto Fruitvale. The college is just after the traffic light for Allendale. Make the first left from Fruitvale into the college and look for a flag pole in front of the buildings. We meet in the parking lot in front of those buildings.
