First Pack Comments: Interesting, 8 cards in this pack instead of the 7 advertised. At any rate, I got a Turco and Havlat RC and a card of Hossa I need for my collection. Excellent pack there!

As a followup to 1999-00 Topps Premier Plus, the 2000-01 version doesn't have a whole lot of changes. The cards still stick together, the inserts are similiar as are the parallels. It's a very similiar break.

The thing that annoyed me as I was opening this was the coalliation and the cards per pack: both seemed wildly random. Some packs had 8 cards, others 6 ... in the end I ended up one card up. The coallation though is pretty horrible. Only 81% of the set and 45 dups! That's some really ugly, ugly coallation!

I was also very disappointed not to get any sort of memorabilia card. According to the numbers, there is a 78.8% chance of a memorabilia card in a box. So missing that was a huge disappointment. The parallel of Guy Hebert is less than stunning, and while the other parallels have some decent names none are very exciting.

Again it's cheap pack busting basically. But missing that memorabilia card really kills it, and all the dups without a complete set sure don't help either.
