Box Rating: 7.5 / 10
Product Rating: 5.0 / 10

This was a dreadfully dull box break for 11 of 12 packs. The checklist just isn't as impressive as it needs to be to keep attention into this product and that is the key reason it suffers. Sure an autograph is cool, but let's be honest, nobody jumps for joy over a Wayne Primeau or Chris Herperger autograph. BAP claims "double the number of autographs!" ... which loosely translates into "good luck finding a good one!"

And without the autographs, there is just that one parallel in the box and a chance at memorabilia. That's just not going to get the job done for the product as whole and it is scary that at one point these sold for $12 a pack. When I got it on severe discount, I figured 'how bad could it be?' ... well I guess I got my answer.

The box break was essentially one card, the awesome Lafluer Autographed 500 Goal Scorers Jersey. Stated out of only 10 copies and autographed makes it one absolutely incredible card and it probably pays for both BAP Sig boxes I bought and then some.

But that was only one pack. What did the rest of the box have to offer? All the gold autographs were dull, and most of the silver ones were as well. Only Rod Brind'Amour, Sandis Ozolinsh, Dmitri Khristich, and maybe Alyn McCauley and Mike Ricci are going to be interesting to anyone. The one parallel wasn't bad, Brett Hull has a pretty solid name in the hobby, and I did get a Brian Sutherby RC, which I like. But other than the autographs there isn't that much here.

Lafleur saved this box, but the possibility of a home run memorabilia card cannot save the product. With "double the autographs" it really just means double the chance at guys you've never heard of before. Just what I happened to need...
