Note: this is the second BAP Update Box Break I've done on here, for product analysis, please see the first one.

Wow, this box was as close to perfect as I've broken in awhile. Definately the best box I've put up here. So close to the perfect ranking and yet just far enough away to not get it.

First the good, the memorabilia card was a huge one, a Jose Theodore Country of Origin Patch card, stated print run of 10! Now, it is kinda sad that it's only a one color patch, but still, the limited nature of the card and what it is (an All-Star game patch!) make it more than worthwhile.

The parallels were rather unremarkable, although André Roy's was numbered to his jersey, which is another excellent bonus. Pat Kavanagh? Not too excited there. The inserts kept on being nice, a Belfour Mask and a Fhur Silver Mask out of only 300. Very nice cards and good pulls. The autographs are kinda where the turnaround begins, only 3 of them -- all silver. The real problem here was I got a duplicate autograph. True it was of excellent youngster Erik Cole, but still, I would have prefered three unique autographs. As far as duplicates go this wasn't a bad dupe to get but duplicates in general just aren't that fun.

So that held the box back a tad, the other thing that held it back was the lack of rookies. Only two significant rookies. Also, this box had NO PARKHRUST rookies. Not a single one. There were a bunch of BAP Memorabilia rookies, but most of them were kinda dull, lower prospects, already forgotten. And a big part of BAP Update is the rookies.

So it was a great box, even though there were some autograph and rookie concerns. I did still end up with 2 nice RCs and at least my duplicate autograph was of a quality player. In the end, I guess I traded two nice rookies and my parallels in for a super sweet memorabilia card. That's a trade I can definately live with!
