It's hard to argue when you get a high end product like this at a nice discount. So, I'm not going to argue much at all!

Private Stock is a very stong product. Each box is packed with value, as you are virtually guarenteed a Premiere Date and Hobby Parallel, not to mention an true RC (/414). Odds on all are 1:9, giving you an 89% chance to hit them in one box. That's not bad.

And of course, parallels and rookies aren't even why you'd buy this product. The jerseys are. Well, that's where Private Stock stumbles a tad. The design is beautiful, but as you might suspect the player selection is a bit ... well watered down. Rob Ray, PJ Axelsson, Jamie McLennan -- had these been coming out of $15 packs I don't think I'd be too pleased. But again, since I got this wholesale, I can't complain!

Another big bonus to this that I don't think other Private Stocks have had is patches. About two per box. Patches are almost always sweet and two per box is a nice addition to these boxes. The two I got weren't bad ... well Ian Moran single color is pretty dull, but Joe Sakic 3-color (that is silver on the bottom there, not white ... OK so maybe it's hard to see but it definately is a third color!) is a great little pull.

The neat thing about Private Stock is that there are enough little things along the way to help you forget that you are pulling PJ Axelsson and Rob Ray jerseys, Rookies, Parallels, Reserve Inserts, and the PS 2002 all work together nicely. Maybe it's not worth it's original $15/pack price, but having aged a bit already, they are pretty easy to find at a nice price, and that should be all you need to get into these.
