First Pack Comments: The foil inserts are really sweet cards. The Spezza Centers of Attention stood out beautifully in the pack and I think it's one of the more boring ITGA inserts!

BAP In the Game Action is a product designed with the set builder in mind. This is made extremely clear as soon as one notices that the cards within each pack are actually sorted! I have no idea how BAP pulled that off while maintaining randomness, but it is a great benefit to the set builder.

The place where ITGA shines is the base set photography. The design on the card is minimal to allow for a nice big picture. Along with the big base set for set collectors, ITGA also offers about 1.5 jersey cards per box on average (1:15 odds) and while they are pretty standard as far as design goes, they still add some value and give some lesser known regional favorites memorabilia. The insert sets are all done extremely well also, however with only 4-5 total in a box, trying to collect any particular set through packs alone is very difficult.

The main problem all BAP sets have is present in this issue as well. There are only 5-6 inserts per box, which means 3 of 4 packs will have nothing but base cards. If you are collecting the set, that's fine, but otherwise you'll find yourself bored very quickly. I really think BAP could have made ITGA a monster by seeding the insert cards more frequently, but they chose limitedness instead. The result is lots of packs of base only.

My box wasn't bad. The jersey cards aren't much to speak of, both the most common Ruby jerseys and Scott Young and Henrik Sedin aren't my regional favorites so I am less than enthused. The inserts are relaly nice (especially the Heatley Oh Canada) but again there are so few of them that building the insert sets is impossible, which is kinda disappointing.

ITGA is a set builders dream. There's a nice big set to collect, but unlike other set builder brands there are also GU and sweet inserts to pick up along the way. If you don't have your eye on the set however, be prepared for a long haul.
