My brother and I have been Dallas Cowboys fans for well over 20 years. We are NOT `bandwagon' fans, we have been there through it all, even the 1-15 season. There have been some rough times, especially recently, but you've got to stay behind your team, that's what a REAL fan does. You can't just dump the team when a couple of guys make mistakes. You're rooting for the team, not necessarily the city and how good or bad of a city it is. I mean, I love the 'Boys, but it's a football team. If someone doesn't like a football team because there are some bad things that happen there, quit watching football and go do something to help make it better.

We have attended a Cowboy's game each of the last four years, the last three in Dallas. We were at the Cardinals game last hear, a 21-6 'Boys victory. Hey, I think they need to put our names on the chairs at Denny's!

We're leaning towards the Giants game this year...and we are going to the Superdome for the Saints game.

What is your opinion of the Cowboy's picks? DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE!!! I am impressed with the selections in the first three rounds. Being from Alabama, I'm especially favorable of the Myers pick. I hope they can sign him. Let's talk about Ellis. According to the draft-day reports, he was the 2nd-highest rated defensive lineman in the draft (behind that Florida State guy). Good move, Cowboys. I'm not sure about that #9 pick, though (another tight-end?).

Well, the season is over, and the Cowboys turned a disappointing 6-10 season into a pleasing 10-6 and a division title. The undefeated division record is also a big accomplishment. Some 1998 tidbits: The Dallas defense was first in the NFC in points allowed (17.2); third in the NFL. The Dallas offense was fifth in the NFC in points scored (23.8); eighth in the NFL. Emmitt Smith broke Tony Dorsett's team record for rushing yards. Emmitt also broke the NFL all-time rushing touchdown record with a touchdown in the last game of the season. Emmitt scored two that night, and has 125 for his career. Next goal: Jerry Rice's total touchdown record!
