Explaining the Fast Live Draft

The Live Draft is a java applet. If you will be participating in the Live

Draft, you will manually fill your draft queue with the players you want to

select. It's easier to find the players you want for this if you have your

draft card (Home Page-Make/Update Draft Choices/Rank Athletes) set the way

you want it. But even if you don't do any ranking, you have a default draft

card, which is based on last year's fantasy stats. You can still pull from

the default draft card to load your queue.

Your draft queue is where you actually select the player you want to draft.

If you are not present for the draft or have stepped away for your turn, the

system will pull the first available player from your queue. If there are

no available players in your queue, it will pull from your draft card. It

really is "live", everything is updated in real time. You will see the team

on the clock with a java countdown clock, you will see the current round,

you will see who that team selected, and if that player was in your draft

queue, the player is automatically removed from your queue. It is very

cool.

As for the draft order, it is determined randomly, and snakes through each

round. The Help should explain that.
