UPDATE:Pineappples Dancers on Top!!

Well, this month the mighty O.B.P.D. has reached another team mildstone. 1st place in our respective division (CC). The first step to the 'A' division, right guys?

"Stuff": Seasons greatings to all!! New updates finally done on the "Trail" on this month.

UPDATE 9 (Nov. 97)
UPDATE: Dano the All- Star!!!

The highthight this month, hands down, had to be my addition to the roster of the Durham College Intermural Floor Hockey All-Star Team. Who would have 'thunk' it! The good guys lost in the dying seconds of the game.

College ice hockey is well under way. Didn't make the tournament squad. Oh well, get them next year. It is a two year course after all. Man! You would think that I was going back to college just to play hockey!!!!

I am also back on ice with the mighty O.B.P.D. (Off Broadway Pineapple Dancers). Signed another 1 year contract, on the advice of my agent, after a one game hold out.

"Stuff": Check out a new link! A good friend's site. The Nake-Man. Dr. Zeaus.

UPDATE 8 (Oct. 97)
UPDATE: Another Season Done for the "N.E.B.sters"

My baseball season came to an end this month with a double knock out in the year end tournament. Our goal this year was to win at least one playoff game (ever!!) and stay out of the basement during the season. Well, we did manage to stay out of the cellar, but that one playoff victory still eludes us. Thanks to Gary and Nic (stool-lady) for letting me play. Let alone coach!!!!!

Stay tuned for a team photo! (next year)

School is well under way!!! Out of the gate like a heard of turtles! Who says you can't teach and old dog new tricks!!!! Even ran for class president, but lost. I am actually having to use my head again for something else rather than stopping pucks! Speaking of puck stopping. I am looking to play quite alot at the college. Signed up for three different hockey teams already!

"Stuff": Check out Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. This is the pub (*HIC*UP*). A fine place it 'tis! ARRRRRRGH Billy!

UPDATE 7 (Aug. 97)
The Laidlaw Classic

The "long arm of the" Laidlaw is at it again!!!! His love for the game of golf is so great that he just had to have a tournament. I was lucky to make it. The 1st annual Laidlaw Classic was a good time had by all twenty of us. Even though there were fourteen prizes. Hey James! Don't worry pal. In a few years, it will be so popular that you have to fight them off with a 9-iron.

"Stuff": Here is the the proof.

UPDATE 6 (July 97)
Outlaws Out of Playoffs!

Another season of ball hockey has come to a close. We were put out in the 1st round by the 'Steamers'. Two straight out of three games. One loss in OT. Dam Hamptons! We will get'em next year!

The baseball team is on a roll! 2 wins and a loss this month. Our first winning month, ever!

I also earned my first educational credit in ten years. Just a placement test for first year students called COMM1000. Bring on Level II!!

UPDATE 5 (June 97)
Back In Action!

Well, summer is full swing and back to work (and play!) after an 'remarkable recovery' (Doc's quote) on my knee operation. As soon as he gave me the O.K, I was right back at it. Playing 4 games of hockey and a game of baseball that week! That was one big itch I had to scratch!
My work is also going very well. After a slow start we are really creating some great interlocking walkways and garden planters.
Finally, I have been accepted to Durham College in Oshawa, Ont. Computer Programing (I hope!).

UPDATE 4 (May 97)
Dano Gets Torn Cartilage Removed.

The operation was a complete success! I am still out of action until June. But, my ball hockey and baseball teams have started their respective seasons.
The 'Outlaws' had their 1st game in the King City Ball Hockey Association (KCBHA) and won one but lost the second game with under a second left! (ouch).
I was able to play in our baseball home opener. 'The world's finest basement dwellers' had a tie! A golden opportunity came up for me as it was bottom of the ninth, two on, two out, tie game and yours truely, flyed out to left center. I did go 2 for 3 with a RBI. Our 2nd game was rained out, so we are still undefeated!

UPDATE 3 (April 97)
Dano on Disabled List!

I am out of action for a month or so while I await a "scope". Something has happened to my medial miniscus. Many thanks to intern Glen Harris. With his help, I should be back in action in no time. CONGRATS!! To Mr. Harris for finishing top of his class! I knew I was in good hands!

UPDATE 2 (March 97)
Dano beats James"the long arm of the" Laidlaw 4-1 in 5 rounds!

Well, the trip to FLA was a great time had by all! Many, many thanks to the Laidlaw clan and friends wintering in St. Pete's, FLA. I stll say "Aries" are not morning people.
The courses were in great shape are our game was better than we thought! The proof? Are in these pictures.

UPDATE 1 (Feb. 97)
The Shootouts

The OBPD(Off Broadway Pineapple Dancers)is my hockey team in Toronto Ont, Can. We forced a third and deciding game in the first round of our playoffs
The first two games ended in a shootout. The opposition is our divsion rivals, the Devils.
Last year, we beat them in a shootout in the playoffs.
The 3rd and last game ended in a bitter defeat as we went down 4-2 with an empty net goal at the end.
Thanks guys! It was a record breaking season. Good luck in the summer and see you next year!

The pictures of this fateful game were underexposed. The photographer has been sacked.
