#8 Shawn Chory - Head Coach

Shawn is entering his 3rd year as head coach of the Albert Gallatin Colonials. Before being named head coach prior to the 2000 season he spent the previous 10 years as the assistant baseball coach at A.G. In his 1st season as head coach Shawn coached the Colonials to the Section 2 AAA championship and a W.P.I.A.L. playoff spot. This was the first section championship in ANY boys sport ever since the consolidation in 1987. Shawn was also named Coach of the Year by the Herald-Standard Newspaper for the 2000 season. Shawn has played baseball at every level except professionally in his career. Shawn was 2nd in the WPIAL in stolen bases in 1988 and holds the single season and career records in stolen bases at AG. Shawn was 1st team All-County in 1988 and 1989 as well as Honorable Mention All-Section in 1988 and 1989.


#7 Rob Chory - Assistant Coach

Rob is entering his 3rd year as assistant coach of the Colonials after serving 12 seasons as the Head Coach. He had been Head Coach of the Albert Gallatin Colonial baseball team since the consolidation in 1987 until his retirement in 2000. His last eight years his record was 81-65. He also was the last baseball coach at Kolb High School, and has coached at every level of youth baseball since his first teener league team in 1966. In 1994, Rob coached the Colonial baseball team that went to the W.P.I.A.L. semi-finals, before losing to nationally ranked (#5 in the USA) North Allegheny. No sports team in the Albert Gallatin School District, since the consolidation in 1987, has advanced as far in the W.P.I.A.L. playoffs as the Colonials baseballers did under Rob's guidance in 1994. Rob was also named Coach of the Year by the Herald-Standard Newspaper for the 1994 season as well as runner up in 1992, 93, 95, & 96. In 1994 Rob was also honored by the Big 10 Hall of Fame for his dedication to the Albert Gallatin H. S. baseball program.


#23 Jimmy Cole - Assistant Coach

Jimmy is entering his 5th year as assistant baseball coach of the Colonials. Jimmy was a member of the 1994 Colonials that advanced to the W.P.I.A.L. Final Four. Jimmy holds a number of Colonial baseball records including single season wins and career wins as a pitcher as well as being the Career leader in runs scored. Jimmy was named a member of the All-County Team in 1993, 94 and 95 as well as 1st team All-Section in 1993, 94 and 95. Jimmy was also the 1st Colonial to win MVP of Section 2 AAA.

#41 Joe Brown - Assistant Coach

Joe is entering his 1st year as assistant baseball coach of the Colonials. Joe was a four year starter and letterman in baseball at Ithaca College in New York. Joe was camp assistant at West Virginia Wesleyan College for three years, assistant coach in the North Collegiate Baseball League for one year and freshman coach at Gates Chili High School for one year. Joe is a welcomed addition to the A.G. Baseball coaching staff this spring.
