1996 - 97 S.J.H.L. NCAA SCHOLARSHIPS
The Kindersley Klippers have announced that 20 yr. old goaltender VINCE OWEN from Thompson, Manitoba has accepted a four year scholarship to Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Ferris State is a member of the Division One Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Humboldt Broncos have announced that 20 yr. old JON KERR has accepted a scholarship and will be attending Mankato State University in Minnesota next season. KERR is a native of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Mankato State will be a Division One independent school next year.
The Weyburn Red Wings have announced that two players have accepted scholarships to attend United States Universities next season. League scoring champion and Most Valuable Player WES DOREY from Edmonton, Alberta has accepted a scholarship from this year's NCAA Champion University of North Dakota's Fighting Sioux. As well, hometown goaltender BOYD BALLARD has accepted a four year scholarship from Providence College.
