The Flin Flon Bombers Reunion is being held to mark the 40th anniversary of the Memorial Cup winning team from 1956-57. The reunion takes place from Friday, June 27 to Tuesday, July 1, and will run in conjunction with the Flin Flon Trout Festival. Some of the events planned include an autograph signing session, pancake breakfasts, golf tournament, fishing derby and a banquet/roast/dance. The Flin Flon Bomber Historical Committee is very pleased to announce the tentative schedule for the banquet, which is being held Saturday, June 28 at the Whitney Forum. To date, there have been over 300 former players confirm they will be here. Some more notable names include Bobby Clarke (GM - Philadelphia Flyers), Reg Leach, Ken Baumgartner (Anaheim Mighty Ducks), Reid Simpson (New Jersey Devils). The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Gerry Hart, who was born and raised in Flin Flon, and played his junior hockey with the Bombers. Hart also went on to a successful pro career in the NHL with Detroit, Quebec, St. Louis and the New York Islanders. 5:30pm to 6:30pm - Cocktails.
