About the SCT Website
- The History
- This website has been online since February 19, 1997.
Inspiration for the site: Charlie Modrak, the creator and first editor of 'Tuggie Athlete' deserves a mention as do successors Amanda Carey and John Payne. John coaxed articles from many members. The most prolific of these was Jim Tucker who interviewed numerous local running identities and was the athletics correspondent for SportsACT.

- The Purpose
- Provide information and entertainment for members of SCTAC.
 Having said that, the site attracts visitors from around the world. View sample statistics from 2001 site logs. Visit counts for the home page are at visits.html.
- The Writers
- Local writers published include Jim Tucker, Blair Trewin, Stuart Doyle, Geoff Monro, Bert Thomson, Ted Harrison, Chris Wilson, Brian Lenton, John Harding, Fiona Jorgensen, Carol Ey and Elaine Cooper. 'Non-local' sources include Doug Binder, John S Gilbody, Khan Gorlewski, Steve Walker and Bruce Glikin. A big vote of thanks to Doug Fry and Linda Butler for local race results. Anything not credited was probably written by myself. Copyright ownership resides with the respective authors. Please don't reproduce anything on the site for commercial use without asking.
