There was something called the "International Heavyweight Challange Match" this year involving the the three international guys plus the top
American in a Sunday comp. Although I qualified for the spot, Roy took may place after I strained my knee a bit during the Saturday caber comp.

I headed home after a couple of rounds in the stone, but saw Petur hit 61+ with the stone. I have no further results. I'll post 'em if I get 'em.

Day 2 at Loon held the first International Heavy Event Challenge.

Alistair Gunn represented Scotland
Harry MacDonald Canada
Petur Gudmunsson Iceland
I had the honor of representing the United States

As Artie mentioned, he actually qualified for day two over me by winning a close and hard fought battle by 1/2 a point! We were dead even through
the first four events before I slipped up in my favorite event the sheaf! I had three spots to make up in the weight for height being that Artie landed a
second to my fifth in the sheaf. I almost pulled it off, but Petur proved to be to strong and one hell of a competitor by coming from behind to out clear
me on the final attempt at 16'6" Had we all missed it I would have won the event on misses and finished second for the day. It was an awesome
competition with Harry also clearing 16'3" to make for an all out war in the event!

Artie hung on to beat me, despite not having his best day in the stone or 28, but the strain to his leg held him out of day two, and I caught a break. I
hope the leg feels better quickly bud, Thanks for the opportunity, and the hospitality you and your family showed my Father and I Saturday night, It
was very much appreciated.

OK, On to day 2

A great introduction, as we all held our countries flags and our anthems played. I was elated, and honored to be on the same field with Petur,
